    Tips are paid in addtion to base-pay! Job Summary The cook’s major responsibility is to prepare food, help with the preparation of food items, and set up stations for the preparation of menu items. Responsibilities Follow The Gyro Shack procedures in preparing menu items ensuring temperatures are adjusted accordingly. Arrange, prepare and break down station while maintaining the uppermost hygienic standards. Clean/sanitize food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils. Prep ingredients found on the line. Cook the exact number of items ordered by each guest, working on several different orders simultaneously. Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared. Operate large-volume cooking equipment. Pre-cook items such as bacon in order to prepare them for later use. Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for cooking. Clean, stock and restock workstations. Put orders away and keep BOH organized. Ensure station is cleaned and stocked at all times. Read Less

The cashier team member manages all monetary exchanges in the restaurant by taking orders and ringing up transactions, serves as a liaison between the guest, the managerial staff and the kitchen staff, and keeps the front area clean and well stocked. Responsibilities Greet all guests politely when they approach the counter. Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner; take To Go orders. Input guest orders, both at the counter and at the drive-thru. Monitor orders and ensure their prompt delivery. Help package food in containers and bags. Up-sell menu items Listen to and resolve guest complaints, suggestions and inquiries. Keep the counter and dining area neat and clean. Sweep and mop the floor regularly. Restock supplies. Take money from guest and provide correct change. Process credit card transactions Keep track of a cash drawer and ensure it is balanced at the end of the shift. Responsible for providing exceptional guest service to each and every guest. Work well in pressure situations. Maintain professionalism.
