Our Warehouse Helpers work under the direction of the Branch Manager and are responsible for operating the warehouse forklift while performing various material handling duties in a safe, customer-oriented manner. Essential Functions: Safely operate the forklift to store material in warehouse in an organized fashion and pull material as needed to load in customer and branch vehicles. Receiving materials from vendors, verify quantity for accuracy, complete paperwork as appropriate. Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed. Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Minor repairs as needed. Responsible for the safe handling of materials and adhering to company safety regulations at all times; including wearing back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices as appropriate. Aiding customers with materials, reporting problems, with deliveries, and service issues.     Window Specialist Support

    Role Description:

    This position exists to support the window sales effort with providing customers current product knowledge, accurate, competitive quoting, consistent follow-up along with positive internal “teamwork” to increase business in a cost efficient manner.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Be committed to customer service above all else – always act with a high standard of service for internal and external customers at all times, acting with professional courtesy, respect and showing a “can do” attitude Assist customers with regards to Anderson, or other wood specialty window and SGD products, creating and following up with quotes and purchasing of orders Develop sales and margin levels that achieve defined company budgets and sales targets, create window and door “take-offs” with emphasis on Anderson products, wood and other specialty wood window products Coordinate vendor shipments of Anderson products with purchasing and receiving documentation Responsible for handling customer complaints and finding reasonable solutions for the mutual benefit of the customer and Kimal Lumber, including assisting in collecting receivables and resolving credit issues Incoming phone calls answered and responded to according to company guidelines, email communication with internal and external customers handled promptly according to company guidelines Learn, utilize and adhere to Kimal’s operational policies and procedures in order to process orders and serve customers, adhere to KWAD order processing procedures with minimal errors, documenting for all order files Any other tasks as assigned by management

    Skills Needed:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of window sales experience. Ability to write reports or business correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public in English. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Have a good knowledge of window and SGD products that Kimal sells, and be able to effectively and professionally present information about those products and services to builders, homeowners, and other tradesman.

    These physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    Regularly required to walk, see, talk and hear. Often required to stand, crouch, or sit. Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 100lbs. Regularly required to see clearly with close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
