Electrical Estimator
The Electrical Estimator independently prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates for small to mid-sized projects or defined scopes within larger projects. This role exercises sound judgment with limited oversight, manages supplier pricing, identifies scope risks, and contributes to bid strategy discussions.
Your Impact:
Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to define complete project scopePerform detailed material and labor takeoffs using estimating softwarePrepare comprehensive cost estimates for assigned projects or scopesCoordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure complete coverageIdentify scope gaps, constructability issues, and project risksContribute to value-engineering opportunities and alternate pricingEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company proceduresMaintain estimating tools, assemblies, and cost databasesParticipate in estimate handoffs and clarify assumptions and risksProvide guidance to Associate EstimatorsWho you are:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Typically 3–7 years of electrical construction or estimating experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responsibilities:
Preparation of project bids, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints and related documents.Computes costs by performing take-off, analyzing labor, material and time requirements.Provide critical support to estimating and project management by updating all estimating and design-build projects, working with owner/developer/architect for bid to companies.Attend meetings with project architects/customer as needed to assist with unresolved problems and ensure adequate coordination is happening to ensure accurate bid documents.Help monitor design scope for changes affecting budget or schedule; identifies cause and advises customer as neededWork Environment:
