The Architect will support the Sales & Distribution Architecture team by designing scalable, modern technology solutions that support business transformation and strategic initiatives. This role collaborates closely with enterprise architecture, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure architecture strategies align with long-term business and technology goals.The architect will help define target operating models, develop technology roadmaps, and guide implementation of service-based architectures that support digital and backend application services. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions within a complex financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:Partner with Enterprise Architecture to define and maintain the target operating model including technologies, tools, and architectural patterns.Contribute to strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business and technical strategies.Collaborate with development teams to translate architecture into design and code-level execution.Serve as a technical liaison between business partners, vendors, and internal technology teams.Design end-to-end solutions using service-based architecture, APIs, and event-driven systems.Develop architecture artifacts including solution designs, technical decisions, strategies, and roadmaps.Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards and architectural guidelines.Design reusable solution components including APIs and microservices that support scalable and high-performance applications.Assess current technology environments and identify gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.Conduct technology evaluations and support technology selection processes.Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and architecture stakeholders.Participate in architecture governance activities including architecture review boards and design forums.Required Experience:5+ years of development experience designing and implementing complex technology solutions.8+ years of experience in solutions architecture or related leadership roles such as technical lead or lead designer.Experience working with sales and distribution technology domains including marketing, wealth management, broker-dealer administration, incentive management, or insurance distribution.Experience leading system design and architectural decision-making activities.Experience collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.Experience designing applications within AWS cloud environments.Experience with web services and event streaming technologies such as REST, SOAP, JSON, or Kafka.Experience with data development including database design, data modeling, and ETL processes.Nice-to-Have Experience:AWS certifications.Experience designing solutions across frontend, backend, database, and integration technologies.Experience with financial services, insurance, or investment technology ecosystems.Experience integrating with SaaS or vendor platforms.Required Skills:Enterprise solution architecture designCloud architecture using AWSAPI and microservices architecturePreferred Skills:Event-driven architecture and streaming platforms (Kafka)Data modeling and ETL developmentCI/CD and DevOps practicesKubernetes container platformsIntegration architecture and vendor platform integrationsAdditional Skills:Architecture governance and technical decision documentationArchitecture artifacts and roadmap developmentTechnical leadership and mentoringTechnology research and proof-of-concept initiativesTest plan and production support transition reviewsParticipation in architecture review boards and design communitiesExperience with platforms such as Salesforce, Kong, Vertica, SAP, and financial services systemsBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:
