GTN is seeking a hands-on Manager of QA/QC & Commissioning to serve as the on-site execution authority for a large-scale mission-critical infrastructure environment in Spartanburg, SC.
This role owns the site QA/QC program and supports commissioning lifecycle execution from planning through systems turnover. The Manager will direct contractors, manage field quality, coordinate commissioning activities, and ensure execution aligns with established program standards.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in data center, HPC, industrial, or mission-critical environments, with a background in QA/QC, commissioning, energization planning, CMOPs, load bank testing, integrated systems testing, and closeout documentation.
Key Responsibilities
QA/QC Program Execution
• Execute the on-site QA/QC program in alignment with established standards, procedures, and project requirements
• Conduct field inspections, quality walk-downs, and system reviews to identify issues, document findings, and drive corrective actions to closure
• Manage QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, quality sign-offs, and system turnover packages
• Oversee third-party QA/QC personnel and consultants to ensure consistent execution and reporting
• Verify work is completed in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, building codes, and site requirements
• Coordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction as needed for inspections, approvals, and compliance-related activities

Commissioning Execution
• Support commissioning planning and scheduling at the site level, including readiness tracking and field coordination
• Verify installation quality prior to pre-functional testing across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, controls, and fire alarm systems
• Manage pre-functional testing activities, document results, and coordinate resolution of deficiencies
• Coordinate functional performance testing with contractors, OEM startup technicians, and third-party commissioning agents
• Oversee integrated systems testing, including electrical, mechanical, controls, load bank testing, and reliability demonstrations
• Manage system turnover documentation, including punch lists, as-builts, TAB reports, inspection records, closeout packages, and final handoff materials
CMOP, Energization & Field Execution
• Develop and manage Critical Methods of Procedure for high-risk switching, energization, and live-environment work
• Coordinate first-time energization events and electrical system activation sequencing
• Develop switching plans, load bank plans, and field execution procedures in alignment with commissioning schedules
• Ensure all personnel are briefed, prepared, and compliant with CMOP requirements before execution
• Identify field risks early and coordinate with project leadership to resolve issues before they impact quality, safety, or schedule
Reporting & Coordination
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for QA/QC and commissioning activities
• Provide regular updates on QA/QC findings, commissioning progress, milestone status, field risks, and readiness concerns
• Participate in stakeholder updates, OAC meetings, and site coordination discussions as the QA/QC and commissioning authority
• Coordinate daily with general contractors, subcontractors, OEM technicians, third-party commissioning agents, site operations, and facilities teams
• Maintain alignment between construction progress, equipment readiness, commissioning milestones, and operational turnover requirements
Required Experience
• 8+ years of hands-on QA/QC and commissioning experience in mission-critical, data center, HPC, industrial, or complex infrastructure environments
• Direct experience executing commissioning programs in live or high-availability environments
• Strong experience with CMOP development, first-time energization, integrated systems testing, and load bank coordination
• Experience managing FAT/FWT documentation, OEM startup support, equipment readiness, and system acceptance activities
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls, fire alarm, and MEP systems
• Experience managing third-party commissioning agents, QA/QC consultants, contractors, and field execution teams

Our client is seeking a Lead Electrician – Data Center to serve as an on-site electrical operations leader supporting a large-scale mission-critical infrastructure environment in Spartanburg, SC.
This organization is building and operating advanced high-performance computing infrastructure designed to support GPU-intensive workloads, AI/ML platforms, research computing, simulation, and next-generation cloud services. The environment includes high-density compute infrastructure, critical electrical distribution systems, and integrated on-site power generation assets.
The Lead Electrician will provide hands-on technical leadership across electrical operations, system reliability, equipment troubleshooting, procedure execution, and safety compliance. This individual will work closely with critical infrastructure operators, mechanical SMEs, controls teams, liquid cooling / hybrid space teams, and energy station personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of electrical systems across the site.
This is a shift-based technical leadership role requiring strong experience with medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, protective relays, electrical safety, and mission-critical operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Operations & Technical Oversight
Serve as the on-shift electrical lead for power distribution, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, and related electrical infrastructureProvide real-time technical direction during switching, energization, restoration, troubleshooting, and abnormal operating conditionsSupport safe and reliable operation of electrical systems across the data center, compute infrastructure, and associated power generation environmentsMonitor electrical system performance, identify risks or anomalies, and help direct corrective actionsMaintain strong working knowledge of site single-line diagrams, electrical system architecture, protection schemes, and system interdependenciesTroubleshoot electrical faults, alarms, equipment issues, and operational deviations in coordination with controls, mechanical, and operations teamsParticipate in root cause analysis following electrical incidents, outages, near misses, or abnormal system eventsSupport commissioning, acceptance testing, equipment startup, and turnover activities for new or modified systemsProcedure Execution, Training & Operational Discipline
