About the Role
We're looking for an Account Manager who is a self-starter and possesses excellent communication skills, as well as a passion for the cannabis industry. You will need to be highly goal-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets. You will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will report directly to the Sales Manager and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies. The ideal candidate will be able to travel up to 80% of the work week and have reliable transportation. This person should be based in or around Chicago, as that is where the bulk of accounts will be.
In this role you will:
Travel within your territory to drive net new, reoccurring, and expansion sales for Grn's four product linesDevelop and maintain relationships with existing wholesale clientsGenerate new business through prospecting and lead generationConduct product demonstrations and consultations to potential clientsUtilize a consultant-based selling approach to understand client needs and offer customized solutionsManage a sales pipeline and regularly provide updates to the Market ManagerWork closely with the Market Manager to meet and exceed sales goalsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support sales efforts and create innovative solutionsAccurately record and track sales activity in our CRM system, Repsly
You'll be a great fit if you have the following:
2+ years of experience in cannabis sales, B2B sales a plusA strong driving record and can pass periodic DMV & insurance checksReliable transportation and the ability to travel up to 80% of the work weekStrong negotiation and communication skillsStay organized and have a tried-and-true method to follow up and stay on top of customersGoal-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targetsExperience using a CRM system to manage sales activity and pipelineDemonstrate integrity and respect in all interactions, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.Strive for the highest standards in every aspect of your role.Adapt to and drive change with enthusiasm.
