This is a key role within our orthopedic and spine practice, ensuring patients receive timely care while supporting a smooth, efficient revenue cycle.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and confident managing both patient-facing responsibilities and insurance-related workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet patients and provide a polished, welcoming front desk experience
• Manage high-volume phone calls, scheduling, and appointment coordination
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and coverage details
• Obtain and track prior authorizations for orthopedic and spine visits, imaging, injections, and braces
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and clinical staff to resolve authorization issues
• Collect co-pays, update demographics, and maintain accurate patient records
• Document insurance and authorization status clearly in the EMR system
• Support front desk operations including scanning, faxing, correspondence, and patient flow
Ideal Candidate
• Experience in a medical office, preferably orthopedic, spine, pain management, or surgical practice
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorization processes
• Familiarity with EMR/practice management systems
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Highly organized, accurate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
