    Position Summary

    Provide flexible, consumer-oriented therapy to assist patients in achieving self-sufficiency and positive treatment outcomes by combining traditional psychotherapy with a practical, problem-solving approach that creates a dynamic and efficient path for change and problem resolution.

    Responsibilities

    Provide assistance to patients in achieving self-sufficiency and positive treatment outcomes. Help patients identify goals and solutions to problems causing emotional problems and the use of psychotherapy to address mental disorders and substance abuse.Assist patients to develop skills and strategies to address their issues.Assess patient’s needs and develop a treatment plan with the patient that assists in working towards achieving the patient’s goals. Demonstrate a concern for the short-term and long-term well-being of individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations.Supervise counseling interns and graduates of counseling programs to develop skills necessary to practice as a Mental Health Counselor.Engage in program development, advocacy, research, and program evaluation to improve mental health treatment and prevention services.Maintain caseload, provide individual and group treatment utilizing evidence-based practice focused on daily living skills, harm reduction, anger management, parenting skills, assertiveness, health issues, mental health issues, pre-vocational and employment issues. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.Develop and update client treatment plans and long term goals. Be prepared for and attend all supervision sessions and team meetings.Attend all agency mandated training and other learning opportunities as recommended by the supervisor.Use time efficiently and personally well organized.Keep Supervisor and Director informed of progress and problems.Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.

    Qualifications

    Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and preferably one to two years’ experience. Knowledge and ability to provide brief techniques, such as crisis intervention and solution-focused approaches.Ability to provide long-term approaches when treating chronic mental health disorders or disabilities.Demonstrate a concern for the short-term and long-term well-being of individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations.Effective written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal skills and computer literacy required plus knowledge of evidenced-based practices. Knowledge of and experience working with substance abuse, mental health, compromised health, HIV/Hepatitis C issues, criminal justice, child welfare, and HRA protocols/reporting requirements.Familiarity with OASAS and other regulatory agency regulations and written documentation requirements, DSM and ICD codes.Experience in individual and strong group counseling.Must be able to maintain ethics standard for Greenwich House, OASAS, and NYS Education Department for Licensed Mental Health Counselors.Willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary to meet a goal.Must achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performance.Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree and 1 years’ experience preferred. CASAC and two (2) years’ experience or equivalent. Use time efficiently and be personally well organized.Knowledge of modern therapeutic methods, theories and practices.Working knowledge of the system of social service that provides services to those with substance use disorder, including treatment programs, therapeutic centers, and employment/educational opportunities.Working knowledge of concrete services available and commonly used by clients.

    The Opportunity

    The Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) is a senior executive leader responsible for advancing the mission, visibility, influence and long term sustainability of Greenwich House, Inc. through exceptional external engagement.     The Opportunity

    The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for Greenwich House and its constituents.     Responsibilities

    Access Control

    Monitor and control access to the Center for Healing, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the facility. Verify the identity of visitors, issue visitor passes and maintain visitor logs.

    Security Patrol

    Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including interior and exterior areas, to deter and detect security threats. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms. 

    Surveillance

    Utilize surveillance equipment, such as cameras and monitors, to monitor activities and areas of concern. Report any suspicious activities or security breaches to the appropriate authorities. 

    Emergency Response

    Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures. Act swiftly and calmly in emergency situations, such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security breaches. 

    Conflict Resolution

    Interact with staff, constituents, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Effectively resolve conflicts and address disruptive behavior when necessary. 

    Security Reporting

    Maintain accurate and detailed security logs and incident reports. Report security-related incidents to the Security Supervisor/Manager/Director of Safety and Security and/or law enforcement as required. 

    Safety Checks

    Perform safety checks on equipment, doors, and windows to ensure they are secure and functional. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. 

    Collaboration

    Collaborate with other staff members, including administrative and facilities teams, to address security and safety concerns. 

    Training and Compliance

    Attend training sessions and stay up to date with security protocols and procedures. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Attend training on dealing with individuals who may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms, managing potentially volatile situations, maintaining the confidentiality of patients and zero tolerance for Fraternization. Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.

    Safety and Security

    The Opportunity

    Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Caregiver Social Worker to support caregivers through core services in the Caregiver Program. Reporting to the Caregiver Program Director, this role works closely with program staff and other professionals to build community partnerships.     The Opportunity

    Greenwich House is seeking a dynamic Youth Mental Health Counselor to join our Queens-based Family Justice Center. This compassionate and experienced Youth Mental Health Counselor will serve children at the Family Justice Center through mentorship and finding resources they may need.     Position Summary

    Responsibilities

    · Ensure all intake assessments and screenings are completed, and an admission decision is made within 30 days of the referral.

    · Perform crisis intakes and admissions at first contact.

    · Assess the patient’s appropriateness for admission and manage the scheduling of all pre-admission appointments; make referrals for individuals needing different level of care and maintain waitlist.

    · Submit intake availabilities on Zocdoc

    · For patients on a waitlist for individual counseling, ensure they are enrolled for group counseling, case management and or peer services in the interim.

    · Make initial case assignments based on patient need, and provider skills and availability.

    · Ensure high risk designation, and safety plans are completed as part of admission for applicable patients.

    · Complete reports specific to intake for grants are completed in a timely fashion.

    · Complete all required documentation concurrently in a timely manner in the agencies EHR, including but not limited to patient demographics, emergency contacts, other provider and medications currently taken, assessments, notes, treatment and safety plans.

    · Meet productivity benchmarks and ensure those staff that report to you do the same.

    · Serve as liaison and advocate with other agencies.

    · Outreach in the community and develop referral partnerships.

    · Serve as a member of the senior leadership team within the clinic

    · Use time efficiently and personally well organized.

    · Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor.


    Qualifications

    · LCSW or LMHC and preferably one to two years’ experience.

    · Strong commitment in ongoing learning and training in the areas of abuse, domestic violence, child welfare, SUD and modalities of treatment.

    · Effective written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal skills and computer literacy required plus knowledge of evidenced-based practices.

    · Must have clinical skills, including ability to assess individuals for proper treatment and evidence of trauma and crisis.

    · Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
