    1) Purpose of Role 

     

    Support safe, disciplined execution of assigned scopes on mining projects by maintaining schedule adherence, budget/cost tracking, documentation integrity, and accurate change-order processing. Bridge communication among the field, office, vendors, and clients, so work is performed to code, on time, and within contract specifications—while operating Procore as the system of record.

    Owns: day-to-day document control, change-event documentation, logs and meeting notes; procurement tasking (PO preparation, lead-time/status tracking, delivery coordination); progress reporting. Supports: CPM/lookahead schedule logic, resource planning/allocation, cost reports and forecasts, review of pay apps and invoices, field issue resolution, and subcontractor coordination/scope splits. Escalates: specification deviations, safety/quality risks, schedule/cost threats, and material constraints to the CPM.  

     

    3) Essential Duties and Standards 

    Planning & Setup / Project Coordination 

    Assist with CPM and lookahead schedules; monitor milestones and track deliverables (submittals, inspections, material). Keep Procore current: distribute latest plans/specs/bulletins; remove obsolete versions; draft clear agendas/minutes and action logs. Support constructability reviews ahead of field execution.  

    Contract Administration & Project Controls 

    Maintain complete, organized documentation (RFIs, Submittals, meeting minutes, change logs) in Procore; help ensure an auditable project file.  

    Change Management 

    Identify/document change triggers; compile pricing back-up and impacts; draft and route CORs; maintain status log; distribute approved changes; assist in negotiations.  

    Procurement & Supply-Chain Coordination 

    Prepare purchase orders and submittals; track lead times and delivery status; coordinate substitutions; reconcile deliveries; surface risks; monitor supplier performance.  

    Schedule & Resources 

    Support CPM logic and rolling lookaheads; coordinate subcontractor schedules; contribute to resource planning/allocation with field leadership.  

    Field & Subcontractor Support 

    Ensure the field has current documents and installation details; gather clarifications through RFIs; support drawing interpretation and as-built updates; clarify scope splits across trades.  

    Cost & Forecasting 

    Help prepare cost reports, budget forecasts, and job-cost tracking; review vendor invoices and subcontractor pay apps.  

    Quality & Safety 

    Assist with site-specific safety plan implementation, toolbox talks, audits, and corrective actions; support inspections and quality checks to meet specs and code.  

    Stakeholder Communication 

    Participate in OAC/subcontractor meetings; provide concise updates on milestones, issues, and change status; circulate notes and action items.  

    Turnover & Closeout 

    Organize punch lists, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and commissioning documentation; Assist with assembly of final turnover packages and support lessons-learned.
