HVAC Air Cleaning Technician (Commercial Coil and Ducts) - Preventative HVAC

This position is preventative maintenance for Commercial HVAC systems. It is not a traditional HVAC position that "rips out and replaces" equipment but one that specializes in returning our clients' current equipment back to peak performance and keeping it there! This is a skill many traditional HVAC technicians never learn in their entire traditional careers. Come be non-traditional with us!
Job Summary
Regular travel across North Carolina; Some occasional travel to other areas in Southeast USA such as Florida and Georgia.
You must have transportation to get yourself to the job site - we cover fuel costs and provide transportation to long-distance job sites. Overnight stays up to 4 days in a row with daily per diem to cover your meals and company-paid lodging.
In this job, you will be trained to actively support a team that safely cleans HVAC coils and ducts at various businesses. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a basic HVAC, Preventive Maintenance, Janitorial, Cleaning or "Handyperson" skill set or someone eager to learn in those areas. We will train you!
Most work is performed after business hours based on client needs and may last into the early hours of the morning.

Position is full-time and paid $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
-Travel to job sites in and out-of-state and actively participates in setting up equipment at the job site.
-Access service areas from the outside or inside of buildings with the use of ladders, stairs, or hatches.
-Work with team to clean clients' HVAC and air handler equipment including team lifts of any equipment weighing more than 100lbs, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down the site.
-Closely follow company provided schedules to satisfy customer service requirements and completion of job tasks.
-Seek to improve quality in all aspects of work performance.
-Conform to the highest professional standards in achieving results.
-Inspect equipment daily.
-Organize company vehicle and inventory to always reflect cleanliness and professionalism.
-Adhere to company safety standards while on the job site and while operating company provided equipment.
-Wear personal protective equipment.
A successful employee also must:
-Show awareness and report any site safety issues to the Team Leader immediately.
-Demonstrate concern for clients within or outside the organization
-Report to work on time, have outstanding attendance and make daily use of the timekeeping system.
-Be flexible and open to travel requirements within the respective region.
-Adhere to the company provided travel budget.
-Communicate effectively with all business associates and customers in a respectful, polite and friendly manner.
-Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by your Team Leader or Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience: 2 years of related experience to include handyperson, warehousing, facilities, mechanical or construction experience.
Required Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in a customer-focused environment.
Essential Skills
-Willingness to learn; Ability to be taught new skills; self-starter attitude; dependable; flexible; and high attention to detail.
-Able to sweep, clean and wipe down equipment to ensure cleanliness.
-Must be able to use a computer or mobile device to report hours worked and to check and reply to email and phone calls.
-Strong mechanical aptitude.
-Strong comfort level regarding heights and ladders. Ladders have a safety rating of 225 lbs.
-Able to lift 50 lbs. daily and assist a team in lifting weight of up to 400 lbs.
-Able to comfortably perform repetitive bending, twisting, climbing ladders and lifting while executing service work.
-Tools and equipment will be provided by the company.
-Must be able to satisfy background check requirements.
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company safety and insurance standards.
Work Environment
Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, moderate heat, moderate cold, and wet and/or humid conditions - including outside weather conditions.Exposure to moving mechanical parts.Some exposure to high, precarious places.Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.Possible risk of electrical shock.Protective clothing or equipment is required (company-provided) including hard-hat, N95 mask, work boots, protective eyewear, and safety vest.Must be able to work in close spaces.
