    Salary: $72,000 - $79,000 annually Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA, Long-term / Short-term disability, Critical Illness, PTO, Holiday, Accident, Life Insurance JOB SUMMARY: The Construction Inspector is responsible for inspecting and reporting on virtually every phase of the construction process, including, but not limited to, civil site work & utilities, structural, building, and safety& hazardous situations. This position ensures all contract documents represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed by the contractors. Establishing and maintaining a professional working relationship with architects, engineers, testing labs, general contractors, subcontractors, owners, and the public, where applicable is essential to this role. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position. Conducts inspections and project oversight for a broad range of construction and maintenance projects, which may include water and wastewater infrastructure, land development, roads, drainage, equipment installation, and other structures and installations. Install and repair sewer and water lines Attend various meetings related to assigned construction projects as needed Submit detailed documentation of daily construction activities Assist with coordination of required project acceptance testing Perform materials inspection and acceptance prior to installation Identify potential problems and notify the Contractor and Project Engineer of any potential problems Keep Project Engineer and Supervisor abreast of progress throughout duration of assigned projects Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual Compose and submit weekly status reports, weekly percentage completion reports, and daily reports to include: project conditions (i.e. trade manpower and work description), architectural and engineering communication and direction, general conditions & activities, temperatures, weather conditions, site work, subcontractors and personnel, hours worked, description of work performed, equipment used, verbal discussions and oral instructions, phone conversations, visitors to site, job requirements, photos, videos, delays Provide Photos which includes photos to verify pre-construction existing building and site conditions (when necessary) and daily photos of entire job site construction progress Post addendum notes to plans and specifications Maintain as-built drawings for the duration of the project Perform related work as required SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION : High School Diploma/GED EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting water and/or sewer main installations and repairs, and roadway construction Thorough knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials and equipment relating; Thorough knowledge of engineering plans, specifications, maps, and drawings Possess the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to compare them with various aspects of construction in progress, to detect errors in construction projects, establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, property owners and associates Must have experience with Hydrostatic Pressure Testing inspecting Must maintain accurate records and satisfactory compliance with specifications & standards Must be able to perform specific installation tasks and field measurements Must have basic math skills to assist with measurements and computations of installed quantities Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies Must have an ability to operate a level and understand cut and fills and elevations for grades Must be able to operate a computer and computer software related to word processing and spreadsheets Must be able to submit extensive written reports and documentation; construction reports and logs are written and filed daily LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Valid State of Georgia Driver's License required State of Georgia Water Distribution System and/or Wastewater Collection System Certifications Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Level IA Erosion Control Certification OSHA 10 Confined Space Trenching and Shoring PACP and MACP Certifications(Preferred) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently required to stand up to eight hours or more at a time Required to walk in rugged conditions Work in adverse weather conditions Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 125 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus WORK ENVIRONMENT: (The work environment and physical demand characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This role requires a CDL-licensed operator with experience in operating specialized equipment, supervising crew activities, and coordinating with management and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution.

    Requirements:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
