    Under the direct supervision of the Direct Support Professional III this position:

    Ensures health and safety of each consumer while following the prescribed behavior support plan (BSP), dining protocol, lifting protocol, and training and service programs as outlined in their individual support plan. Provides guidance and mentoring to entry-level Direct Support Professionals on an on-going basis. As an essential employee, will be required to work overtime to ensure consumer safety and supervision depending on various activities and hazardous weather conditions. Reports to duty as outlined in policy and procedures and assumes accountability of the assigned individual(s).In accordance with Agency and Office guidelines, rules, and regulations, follows sound professional techniques while providing direct, hands-on individual care to all consumers as needed. Participates in training and provides guidance to consumers in the development of activities of daily living skills. Transports and monitors consumers to and from off campus appointments, programs, and activities.In accordance with ICF-IID active treatment standards, implements training and service programs as outlined in the individual support plan, assists with daily activities, and engages consumers in group activities.In keeping with the individual support plan, completes timely and accurate data collection and/or assessments. Maintains documentation in compliance with Agency and Office policies and procedures. Provides input and engages as an active member of the interdisciplinary team. Participates in team meetings and scheduled staff meetings as required.Responsible for reporting significant events and suspected abuse immediately per Agency and Office policies and procedures.Ensures safe, orderly, neat, clean environment for all consumers. Responsible for following all Agency and Office policies and procedures and may be required to perform additional duties as required.

    Positions for this posting are located at Whitten Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    This position is eligible for up to $3.50/hour shift differential for applicable shifts!

    Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates will be distributed after three, six, nine, and twelve months of successful continuous Full-Time employment.

    Minimum and Additional Requirements

    A High School Diploma or GED, and three (3) years of experience working with Individuals with Disabilities and Special Needs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Administrative abilities and general knowledge of intellectual disabilities. Basic computer skills to include the use of Therap and SCEIS Central for time and leave purposes (Electronic Documentation System). Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations and basic safety practices. A valid Driver's License. Physical abilities including lifting, pushing, standing, stooping, kneeling, and running. Ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments for certain periods of time.

The Paraeducator 3 will provide intensive behavior intervention services and instructional support for students with exceptional needs as specified on the student's Individualized Educational Program (IEP), behavior plan, or health plan.     The Paraeducator 3 may provide regular ongoing behavioral monitoring, data collection, assessment, and intervention. Valid First Aid and CPR certification must be obtained within 60 calendar days of start date and maintained. Experience caring for the needs of individuals or groups with behavioral/social-emotional deficits is highly desirable.

    Representative Duties, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

    The Paraeducator 3 will provide intensive behavior intervention services to designated students with exceptional needs in a variety of settings, including but not limited to, the classroom, home and community under the supervision and direction of the Behavior Intervention Specialist.     Supervision and Working Conditions

    General supervision is received from a certificated site administrator. No supervision is exercised. The working conditions may require sitting, stooping, crouching, standing, bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pulling, pushing, and walking to work with assigned students. Must have hand and finger dexterity to operate office equipment, learning aid, and instructional materials. May lift or move a student weighing up to fifty (50) pounds alone. Other physical demands include running, reacting, and moving quickly; safely cleaning up body fluids and the ability to apply Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) restraint techniques. Hazards include exposure to contact with blood and other bodily fluids. May be required to work with harsh and toxic substances, such as bleach.

    The Retail Clerk 1 is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to our college campus and community, providing an essential function in the success of our retail sales, clerical work, food and drink preparation, and other duties related to operation of a retail store or food counter, while also working with the highest level of food safety.

    We are currently hiring for multiple openings in this role. These are full-time, 10-month cyclical positions.

    Position Salary Range: $3,033/month - $4,002/month. The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate's qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Individuals newly hired to Classified position are placed in a salary range based on the WPEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is a 8 to 10-month cyclical position and actual annual wage will be prorated during cyclical periods.

    We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components. Competitive salary is within the Range stated above, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.     Bellevue College (BC) Food Services serves the college main campus by offering a full service cafeteria, three coffee shops and a Pizza Cafe (Housing) that serve hot food, light snacks, pastries, espresso, tea and beverages.

    Overseeing Retail Store/Food Counter

    Leads and participates in the cleaning of the cafe and equipment; assures that standards of sanitation and safety are met.Leads and participates in the storage and utilization of leftover ingredients and products; rotate stock.Participates in large scale preparation and service of food & beverage on assigned shift.Assists customers in locating, selecting and purchasing various retail items at the retail store lunch counter, canteen, or coffee shop.Prepares and serves coffee, light lunches, sandwiches, and fountain orders.Processes on-line orders for in-store pickup or delivery, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.Serves as cashier, processing payments, checking cash register receipts, and preparing daily financial reports.Checks credit cards and fills orders for delivery to customers.Files credit cards and other records and documents and maintains orderly filing system.Arranges supplies and merchandise on shelves and in displays.Takes physical inventories and keeps inventory records.Sets up tables, arranges condimentsPerforms opening and closing duties for a cash register on a daily basis as required

    Coordinating Catering and Events

    Collaborates with the catering manager for event orders.Orders supplies and food to meet the specific needs of each event,Prepares food items according to established recipes and presentation guidelinesCoordinates with staff to ensure all catering supplies are complete and ready for use during events.Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.At least six (6) months of beverage, food counter, or retail sales experience.Be proficient on the Point of Sales system and adhere to proper cash handling procedures and standards with a high level of accuracy.Must have King County food handler's permit within 14 days of hire.Demonstrated knowledge of:Food values and nutrition.Personal hygiene, food handling, sanitation, and safety precautions.Care and use of cafe utensils and equipment.Record keeping (e.g., inventory).Report preparation (e.g., supply levels and usage).Demonstrated ability to work on several projects simultaneously.Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to follow written and oral instruction.Demonstrated effective customer service skills with employees, students, and visitors.Experience working with diverse colleagues and students in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
