    Overview: GovCIO is seeking a skilled and proactive SolarWinds Administrator to join our team, supporting a critical program with the U.S. Coast Guard. This hybrid remote position is located in the Kearneysville, WV area.

    Responsibilities: The SolarWinds Administrator will be a key member of the IT Operations / Monitoring team, dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation and robust security of critical IT systems. This role supports enterprise monitoring operations by executing SOP-driven tasks within the SolarWinds Orion platform, contributing to monitoring hygiene, template application, and structured triage. Monitor SolarWinds dashboards for active alerts and performance anomalies. Acknowledge alerts, document initial findings, and perform basic checks (ping, RDP, SNMP/WMI status). Escalate issues based on SOP-defined thresholds using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Ensure monitored nodes are properly grouped, labeled, and update device notes for visibility. Toggle alert statuses during maintenance windows to maintain dashboard hygiene. Apply approved monitoring templates (SAM, NPM, etc.) per service requests and SOP. Add/remove devices using standard onboarding procedures and assign polling methods from pre-approved lists. Change alert thresholds only when explicitly instructed by Tier 2 personnel or defined in the SOP. Maintain shift logs, incident summaries, and follow structured handoff protocols. Update Tier 1 job aids and SOPs with observed gaps to ensure accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)

    Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or network monitoring . Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, etc.). Hands-on familiarity with SolarWinds Orion modules (NPM, SAM, VMAN). Basic understanding of SNMP, WMI, and Windows Server environments. Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Strong documentation and communication skills.     Qualifications:
