General Description: As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance and repair of all tire-related manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Layout, assemble, install, maintain and troubleshoot pipe systems, process equipment, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling lubricating, sprinkling and plant productions equipment and systems including water, air, steam, gas and various chemicals Understand and apply knowledge relating to the principles of pumps and bearings, valves of all types, pneumatic and hydraulic controls for both high and low-pressure systems Repair/replace equipment (e.g., valves, hydraulics, cooling systems, motor parts) Use stock and die or pipe threading machine and necessary craft hand tools in performance of work Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, piping diagrams, or specifications Measure and make sketches for parts or piping, lay out center lines, butt, drill, tap and align holes Know the various sizes and uses of the different kinds of pipe and tubing, piped tubing fittings, joints and equipment for channeling services throughout the facility and know how these are fitted and connected Log or use computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed. Abide by safe work standards including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Adhere to Goodyear's attendance policy Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable Basic computer skills Must provide basic tools Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience as an Industrial Manufacturing Pipefitter with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery and power/control devices Industrial Pipefitter Journeyman's card or AAS in Pipefitting Desire and willingness to learn and perform across crafts Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards Candidate Criteria:Self-motivated: demonstrates appropriate initiative with or without direct supervision Hard worker: someone who works diligently to get tasks done Adaptability: the ability to make changes, and to be successful in changing environments Team player: an associate who can be counted on to assist the company in being successful whether working on a team or individual projects Commitment to working safely Willingness to adhere to tobacco-free policy

    **Base Pay: **$37.62 an hour. Night shift would get an additional $0.65 per hour shift differential.

    $1,000 sign on bonus. $250 will be paid to eligible employees after the completion of their first week of employment. The remaining $750 will be paid to eligible employees after the completion of 90 days of employment. Candidate must be a new employee and not a rehire to be eligible.

    The High-Pressure Boiler Operator operates, serves, and maintains power equipment and systems. This includes such items as boilers, compressors, pumps, and turbines. The operator is also responsible for checking condensation systems throughout the plant.

    Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected.

    Shift Information: This position works a 12-hour shift; must be able to work any shift (day or night) on a 2-2-3 continuous operation work schedule which will include Saturdays and Sundays (2 on, 2 off, 3 on; on a repeating schedule).

    **Work environment: **Findlay, Ohio Plant

    The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment.The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, and noisy.Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel-toed shoes.

    Job specific details include, but are not limited to:

    Drain all water accumulated in receives and separatorsCheck and maintain traps in boiler room on steam mainsRoutinely monitor equipmentTakes water samples and tests water samplesTakes necessary corrective actions to maintain proper chemical levelsPerform repairs as neededLogs all changes and problems related to the boiler/boiler controlsMaintains inventory of replacement parts and chemicalsMust attend training classes provided to enhance the knowledge and services required by classification

    Basic Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED

    Must be at least 18 years of age

    Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future

    Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations

    Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

    State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License Required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Ability to work at heights of up to 100 feet preferred
