Job Summary:
The Position
The Mayor’s Youth at Work Partnership (MYAWP) provides high school students work-related experiences that prepare them to succeed in employment. MYAWP aims to strengthen Jacksonville’s workforce and help young people gain the support, educational credentials, and skills needed in today’s and in the future economy. Work sessions are held in the summer, spring and fall. Objectives of the program are for students to gain employment, develop social skills, learn work norms and culture, understand career pathways, build professional networks and learn to manage money. The MYAWP Job Coach is responsible for the supervision of approximately 25-30 students. Duties include: recruiting students into the program, assisting the Program Manager to recruit employers to employ students, monthly reporting in SAMIS, quarterly narrative reports, completion of required training, weekly meetings with students, relationship building with students’ employers, assist in student workshops, communication between student and employer, troubleshoot barriers to student’s successful employment to ensure student success and employer satisfaction.

General
Work with MYAWP Program Manager and Lead Job Coach to recruit and enroll students.
Work with MYAWP Program Manager and Lead Job Coach to identify and establish relationships with potential employers.
Assist to develop, implement and attend workshops for students focused on work-readiness training.
Implement and administer student assessment prior to employment
Prepare and submit required reports.
Essential Duties Managing Student Performance
Assist with MYAWP student enrollment process.
Schedule and attend employer orientation to make on-site visits and conduct a walk-through of site.
Establish a chain of communication with employer and student and ensure all contact information is readily available.
Coordinate external resources to support students (transportation, uniforms, required work attire).
Oversee students’ work attendance and performance.
Identify potential problems and intervene as necessary to ensure student success. This may include leveraging the services of affiliated organizations.
Complete required training to include MYAWP process and expectations, FERPA & SAMIS, data and reporting requirements, emergency management.
Attend weekly meetings.

Job Summary:
The Donation Center Attendant (DCA) works in the Goodwill Donation Centers. The DCA is responsible for delivering excellent customer service to every donor who visits the Goodwill Donation Center. The DC Attendant will greet each donor, remove the donations from the donors’ vehicle and offer each donor a receipt and thank the donor for donating.

Essential Duties
Front of Store Duties
-Processes customer transactions by ringing the sale on a cash register, collecting payment, making change, bagging the merchandise and thanking the customer.
-Assists customers with shopping needs.
-Pulls racks for transporting clothing from the back room to the sales floor and places clothes on sales floor racks. Ensures that clothes are placed on sales racks with similar types and colors of clothing.
-Rearranges clothing on racks and items on shelves, removes items from the floor, dusts and pulls clothes from racks that are too full to ensure that the sales floor is kept clean, neat and properly displayed.
-Greets donors and receives merchandise, providing donor with an itemized receipt, if desired.
-Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Store Manager or other member of management.
Back of Store Duties
-May remove donations from donor’s car.
-Breaks down donation in to appropriate bins of like merchandise.
-Examines shoes, electrical, and mechanical merchandise and other non-clothing items to determine, appropriateness for sales floor, in accordance with established standards.
-Place salable clothing on hangers to meet established quotas.
-Hangs clothing on racks for transporting to the sales floor, keeping similar types of clothing grouped together.
-Counts and records pieces of clothing hung.
-Places unsalable clothing in appropriate bins.
