About the Role
As the Training & Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs. You'll design e-learning modules, manage our Learning Management System (Goodwill Academy), and support onboarding and mission-aligned training efforts. If you're a creative, organized self-starter with a passion for learning and development, this is the role for you.
What Youll Do
Design and deliver interactive digital training using tools like PowerPoint, Articulate, Canva, and SCORM packagesCreate engaging learning content: job aids, visual guides, facilitator materials, and e-learning modulesSupport retail staff and managers through targeted onboarding and trainingManage and maintain content within the Learning Management System (LMS)Develop workshops that support employment readiness for community program participantsTrack and evaluate training outcomes to drive data-based improvementsPartner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and develop solutionsStay on top of training trends and apply best practices in instructional designOccasionally travel to Goodwill sites and work flexible hours to meet training needsWhat Were Looking For
Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree in Training, HR, Education, or related field preferredExperience: At least 2 years of experience in training and development, with a strong background in digital course creationTech-savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and experience with LMS platforms preferredBonus: Experience in retail, nonprofit, or mission-driven settings is a plusSoft skills: Excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to build relationships across teamsOther: Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background and drug/alcohol screeningWhy Join Us?

A DAY IN THE LIFE:In a typical day, a Retail Associate can expect toinspect and sort all incoming clothing, accessories, shoes and other wares to determine if items are suitable for sale in our retail store. Determine appropriate pricing for items and place correct price on each piece. Distribute and unload racks of clothing to the sales floor, operate cash register and provide excellent customer service.
As part of the Goodwill team, you can make a difference! You will become part of a team that helps fund outreach programs for people in need in your local community. These services include career exploration, job development, job placement, family strengthening and community outreach services. Plus, you will help Goodwill keep tons of garbage out of landfills each year
