JOB TITLE: Community Employment Services Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for the development of a variety of employment/work sites in the community, for the areas of career exploration, work adjustments, community-based assessments and placement emphasis. Site development will include both pre-scheduled and cold call techniques.Work cooperatively, and communicate openly and effectively with Goodwill staff, individuals, and their support team which may include family members/guardians, OOD Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Board of Developmental Disabilities staff, PCA’s, HPC Provider, and/or other service providers.Facilitate a variety of vocational rehabilitation services including intake, job seeking skills training, job development/placement, job retention, bridge supports (auxiliary services), job coaching, career exploration, travel training, etc.· Treat the consumer with the highest level of professional and ethical behavior, maintaining confidentiality, healthy boundaries, and acting at all times as a good role model.
Complete all data collection, outcomes documentation and any other tracking forms.Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and writing style when reporting.Maintain and establish professional relationships with referral sources and other agency personnel.Establish and maintain rapport with Goodwill staff.Complete daily-required documentation and reports on client participation and services provided within 48 hours of service delivery.All other duties as assigned by Program Manager and/or Director.:
· Professional or personal experience with the disability community, an understanding of various types of disabilities, and an awareness of disability etiquette is required.
· Knowledge of various barriers to employment and their vocational implications.
Knowledge of job analysis, job accommodations and the use of assistive technology.· Must be well-organized, outgoing, independent, and a good multi-tasker.
Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, proof of insurance and ability to provide own transportation.Must possess good written and oral communication skills.Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of job seeking and soft skills necessary for consumers to obtain and maintain employment.Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent training and/or experience in social services, education, disability studies, social work, or closely related field is preferred.Community Employment Services Co-Manager
