    This position is responsible for the overall production and selling of goods in our retail stores. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

    Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.Demonstrate our core values through actions and words.Meet donors with exceptional customer service, unload donations and safely place them in designated areas.Sort, price, hang and tag or otherwise process donations as directed.Place merchandise in appropriate categories on the sales floor.Assist customers at the register in making their final purchase by accepting cash, credit or debit and offering accurate change back when needed.     Performs various retail duties as assigned by management. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

    Greets and assists all customers (internal & external) with exceptional customer service on a continuous basis.

    Insures that all employees are trained for the jobs they will be performing, trained for the equipment they will be using, and understand the potential safety hazards for their work.

    Must inspect personal protective equipment (PPE) and correct or report any issues or concerns to supervisor.

    Constantly monitor work areas, conducts periodic safety inspections and store evaluations of all area; take immediate corrective action when work areas and/or practices are deemed to be unsafe or deficiencies are found.

    Report any accidents/incidents in a prompt and thorough manner to the immediate supervisor.

    Able to provide first aid to any accident victim.

    Assist in achieving or exceeding budged monthly/annually sales goal.

    Communicate directly and consistently with Store Manager.

    Knowledge of company policies and procedures and ensures compliance from all store staff.

    Ensure daily workstation/area has all necessary supplies to be fully operational.

    Assist in completing required paperwork accurately and neatly and submits within established time frame.

    Responds to all alert codes for assistance.

    Maintain a clean and safe work/shopping environment.

    Reports immediately all known or suspected security and/or theft problems (internal and external).

    Open/close the store as needed. Responds to all emergency calls to secure building as needed.

    Travel may be required; reliable transportation and proof of current liability insurance is required.

    Other duties may be assigned.

    This position has supervisory responsibilities only when the manager and assistant manager are not present. This position is not authorized to perform any discipline unless given authority by a member of senior management in cases of extreme behavior. This position does not have the authority to hire or release any individuals.
