\t3.\tPromote Independence and Skill-Building: Encourage and assist residents in developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing personal finances, to increase their independence.
\t4.\tBehavioral Support and Crisis Intervention: Implement behavioral support plans, help residents manage emotions, and provide de-escalation during behavioral crises. Recognize and document behavioral patterns for ongoing support planning.
\t5.\tDocumentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records on residents’ daily activities, progress, incidents, and other observations. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements as outlined by the organization and regulatory bodies.
\t6.\tTransport and Accompany Residents: Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, recreational activities, or employment. Provide supervision and support to ensure residents’ safety and engagement in the community.
\t7.\tHousehold Management and Cleaning: Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, organizing, and cleaning shared spaces.
\t8.\tCommunication with Team and Families: Collaborate with other support staff, supervisors, and family members to ensure continuity of care and provide updates on residents’ well-being and goals.
\t9.\tFollow Individualized Care Plans: Support each resident based on their individualized service or care plan, respecting each person’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
