Direct Support Professional (DSP) DSP Providing Direct Care and working alongside other Support Staff in the home for clients with disabilities (intellectual or behavioral) Golden Heart is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals including seniors, veterans, and adults with intellectual disabilities across Iowa. We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to work, providing consistent, high-quality care in a home-like setting. We have many different options available. We're hiring CNAs, HHA's, Caregivers/DSPs Hiring for different shifts throughout the week: Day Shift Evening Shift Weekends Flexible scheduling to fit work/life balance About the Role DSPs provide hands-on support that helps clients live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities. Responsibilities include: Personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) Meal preparation, housekeeping, and home management tasks Transportation to appointments and community activities Medication reminders (with training provided) Documentation of services provided Encouraging independence and supporting client goals Ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout shifts Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to learn, grow, and continue your education through online training (paid on the job) Ability to perform physical job duties (lifting, standing, bending, etc.) Strong communication skills and a dependable, compassionate attitude About Golden Heart Golden Heart provides in-home and community support services to seniors, veterans, and individuals with intellectual disabilities.
