    Responsibilities:

    Primary responsibility for this position is to provide on-site coordination for all phases of

    construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring

    that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within

    budgets.


    Job Summary:

    Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site

    safety.


    General Summary of Duties:

    Construction superintendents monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks

    such as budgeting manpower & resources, and scheduling. Assisting in the creation and

    monitoring good execution of the project schedule. They follow quality control procedures,

    enforce standards and adhere to the safety and security needs of the construction site.


    Travel:

    Travel to jobsites daily for personnel/job management and progress review.


    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the scheduling & coordinating of subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in

    critical path to ensure timely completion.

    • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

    • Communicate with project team regarding ASl's, RFl's, and Material Submittals.

    • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of

    work.

    • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

    • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality

    standards.

    • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for

    resolution.

    • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.

    • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team in a timely

    manner.

    • Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

    • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

    • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors, regarding work or scheduling.

    • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.

    • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

    • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.

    • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.

    • Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the

    day.

    • Keeping project on budget and on schedule.


    Minimum Job Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience

    • Verifiable Experience in Commercial Construction Industry for projects between $250K

    and 5 million/job

    • Minimum 2-year college degree

    • OSHA Certified

    • Excellent Computer skills including knowledge and use of various computer software

    including Microsoft office suite, Microsoft Project, Sage CM, Clock Shark, Holobuilder.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Provide direction to and resolve problems for up to 30+ subcontractors and vendors.


    Job Skill Requirements:

    • Ability to read all types of commercial drawings.

    Physical Activities and Requirements:

    • Physically lift to waist height 100 lbs.

    • Uses personal computer approximately 4-5 hours per day.

    • Uses telephone and email to communicate with company management, consultants,

    contractors, and co-workers, approximately 5-6 hours per day.

    • Visits project sites several times throughout shift; moves about the project sites on a

    regular basis.

    • Assist with the distribution of scope of work assignments for each subcontractor &

    vendor.

    • Assist PM with subcontract creation process and subcontractor change order

    process.

    • Assist PM with overall project accounting and contract change order summations

    tracking.

    • Assist in the procurement of contracts with vendors and suppliers.

    • Assist in the administration and tracking of projects costs Including participation in

    project accounting updates, approvals and processes.

    • Assist in the coordination of all project team members.

    • Assist in the maintenance of project schedules.

    • Maintain project communication hierarchy and protocol between project team.

    • Review projects in field

    • Quality Control

    • Assist in the scheduling of and attend all job meeting when necessary. Assist in the

    creation of and participate in project closeout procedures.

    • Review project submittals and administrate overall timeline, procurement, approval

    process with necessary project stakeholders, maintain log and records for submittals,

    submittal distribution.

    • A full knowledge of closeout requirements for each project. Maintaining a closeout list

    for each project, then procurement of all closeout Items, Orderly compilation as

    required by end user and transmittal of same to proper project stakeholders and in

    house personnel

    Minimum Job Qualifications:

    • Ability to travel to projects for 2-3 days per week when necessary.

    • 2- or 4-year degree in Engineering/A rchitecture or Building Construction discipline

    • Strong leadership and planning skills

    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

    • Ability to work within a structured system

    • Deadline and detail-oriented

    Job Summary:

    Assist in the supervision of Assistant Estimators. Maintain client,

    consultant and vendor relationships with GMCA, Inc.

    • Preconstruction Management for all CSI divisions and all types of building

    construction projects including Renovations and ground out construction.

    • Oversight and development of preconstruction staff hiring, training, work product,

    • Establish and maintain new client and existing client relationships.

    • Manage and assist with procurement of all documents, information and articles for

    • Lead preparation of proposals and presentations to existing and anticipated clients.

    This would include negotiated, hard bid public and private proposals.

    • Prepare and lead preconstruction strategy with approach to each proposal and

    • Pre-qualify all bidders not yet used on projects by company.

    database).

    • Utilize company present day estimating format, practices and procedures.

    • Assist in the establishment of new and efficient company estimating practices and

    processes succeeding mastery of existing procedures.

    • Maintain estimating records for each proposal type and category.

    • Lead and manage preconstruction hand off to Construction Department.

    • Establish and maintain cost database for all CSI divisions.

    Summary List of Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of all types of commercial construction.

    • Ability to travel to project locations and/or meet with clients/owners/

    prospective bidders as necessary.

    • Preferred 4-year degree in Engineering/Architecture or Building Construction

    • Uses telephone and email to communicate with consultants, contractors, and coworkers,

    approximately 5-6 hours per day.

    • Sits approximately 4-6 hours per day.

    • Visits project sites on an ongoing basis; moves about the project sites.
