Global Solutions International (GSI) is seeking a qualified Powered Support Systems Mechanic to support federal operations at Fort Sill, OK. This position involves inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul of electrical power support systems and associated components.
Duties
As a Powered Support Systems Mechanic, you will:
Install, inspect, and perform modifications and repairs on electrical power support systems including electrical power plants, switchgear, and power distribution panels.Troubleshoot and repair power system components such as:
Generators, voltage regulators, governors, starter motors, fuel pumps, and oil pumps.Operate and maintain electrical controls, such as manual/remote switches, circuit breakers, rheostats, and automatic transfer switches.Conduct preventive maintenance, including:
Checking fluid levels (fuel, coolant, lubricants, battery water)Replacing filters, spark plugs, belts, and batteriesAdjusting safety and thermal controlsPerform diagnostic checks and load testing to ensure system readiness and performance.Overhaul major engine assemblies and components (38 cylinders, up to 500 HP).Read and interpret technical data: wiring schematics, blueprints, and manufacturers manuals.Use hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters, circuit analyzers, watt meters, meggers, and more.Document maintenance actions in accordance with standard operating procedures and technical manuals.Train and guide junior personnel or lower-graded employees.Ensure adherence to all local and federal safety standards, including PPE usage and hazardous material handling.Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience in power support systems maintenance or equivalent military MOS (e.g., 91D, 3E0X2, etc.).Knowledge of:
Internal combustion engine systemsElectrical power generation and distributionPreventive maintenance processesSafety protocols and hazardous material proceduresSkills in:
Reading technical drawings, schematics, and manualsUsing diagnostic tools and test equipmentTroubleshooting and major repair of mechanical/electrical systemsCertifications (Preferred):
OSHA 30 or equivalentFormal technical training in power generation systemsEducation
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Technical school or military training in diesel mechanics, power generation systems, or related field preferred.
Work Environment
The work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. The position may require exposure to dust, grease, electrical hazards, moving parts, and hazardous materials. Proper use of PPE is mandatory. This is shift work (12 hours a day most days/40 hours a week).
