COOK & CAREGIVER - LUXURY SENIOR CARE FACILITY
Location: Glen Haven Huntersville - 6900 Gilead Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078
Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
Schedule: Day shift; every other weekend required

This is not a job where one person is left alone to run a 6-bed home. Glen Haven has two dedicated caregivers on every shift, 24/7. The Cook & Caregiver works alongside those two.
Your main job is to own the kitchen and also step in to help residents when needed. The facility owner is a chef and will have high expectations for food quality and presentation
What you will do
Plan simple, healthy menus.Make shopping lists and order groceries.Cook and serve lunch and dinnerPrep breakfast for the morning team to serve.Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe.Help residents with meals and step in with care support when needed.Communicate clearly with other caregivers.What we need

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Caregiver at Glen Haven, you will:
NON‐NEGOTIABLE QUALIFICATIONS
We are only considering applicants who are already fully trained and cleared to administer medications in a North Carolina adult/family care home.
You must meet all of the following to be hired:
1. Either already a current CNA in North Carolina or have completed North Carolina 80‐Hour PCA Training
2. Able to Administer Medications on Day One
Completed the required North Carolina medication training (10‐hour/5‐hour classes or equivalent) for adult/family care settings.Passed the North Carolina Medication Aide exam and are currently eligible to pass medications in an assisted living/family care home.Comfortable and experienced using a MAR, following written orders, and documenting medications correctly.3. Recent, relevant hands‐on experience
At least 2 years of paid experience providing direct personal care to older adults in a facility or in‐home setting.Experience with memory care/dementia is strongly preferred.If you are not a CNA or do not have the 80‐hour PCA credential and current med‐aide qualification, this role will not be a fit at this time.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
At least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent.Able to pass required background checks and health/TB screening.Able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation and to stand/walk for most of the shift.Able to read and follow written care plans and document care in English (paper and basic electronic formats).Reliable transportation and a strong history of on‐time attendance.WHO THRIVES HERE
