    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Firm seeking an experienced paralegal to support its Litigation Practice Area. This role works closely with attorneys through all phases of litigation, from case inception and discovery through trial preparation and courtroom support. The position may be based in the Greater Boston area.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·         Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, correspondence, and related litigation documents.

    ·         Work directly with clients to collect documents and prepare discovery responses.

    ·         Manage discovery tasks, deadlines, and related case materials.

    ·         Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, and supporting attorneys during proceedings when needed.

    ·         Conduct factual research related to active matters.

    ·         Coordinate with attorneys to docket court dates, deadlines, and case milestones.

    ·         Maintain litigation files and prepare closed matter materials for storage or disposal.

    ·         Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.

    ·         Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    ·         At least 4 years of paralegal experience in litigation or a comparable practice area.

    ·         Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    ·         Strong attention to detail, proofreading ability, research skills, and writing skills.

    ·         Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize competing responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced environment.

    ·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new technology platforms as needed.

    ·         Professional, client-service-focused approach.

    ·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a larger team.

    Experience Trust & Estate Paralegal Boston or Providence

    Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience handling all aspects of the estate and trust administration. Fiduciary administration and/or accounting experience will set yo up well for the opportunity.

    Experience firm is looking for:

    ·         Prepare probate pleadings, including petitions, inventories, accountings, final reports, and related filings.

    ·         Prepare documents related to the identification, collection, and valuation of assets.

    ·         Assist with fiduciary accounting.

    ·         Prepare estate and gift tax returns.

    Substantial client contact

    Work directly with Trust & Estate practice group attorneys and partners.

    Qualifications

    Salary range: $75,000–$120,000. Specific compensation will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for the position.

    Litigation Legal Administrator FULL OR PART-TIME

    Scheduling and Administrative Support

    ·         Manage and coordinate attorney calendars, including appointments, meetings, court appearances, and travel arrangements.

    ·         Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, greeting clients, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.

    ·         Serve as backup support for other legal administrative assistants on the team, as needed.

    ·         Perform other role-specific duties as assigned.

    Document Preparation and Case Management

    ·         Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports with accuracy and attention to detail.

    ·         Assist with the preparation of pleadings, e-filings, motions, and other legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal procedures.

    ·         Support attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files.

    ·         Maintain electronic and physical filing systems so documents are organized, accurate, and easily accessible.

    Billing and Client Support

    ·         Assist with billing and invoicing processes, including time entry and responses to client billing inquiries.

    ·         Maintain a high standard of client service in all communications and administrative interactions.

    Qualifications

    ·         Minimum of four years of experience supporting a litigation practice.

    ·         Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

    ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

    ·         Strong client service skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.

    ·         Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint), Kofax Power PDF or a similar PDF program, BigHand Create and Hyperstyles or comparable styles and templates software, and NetDocs.

    ·         Willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

    ·         Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

    ·         Enthusiasm for learning and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and workflows.
