    GFO Home is seeking a highly detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to serve as a key financial partner within our growing organization. This role is central to maintaining the integrity of our accounting operations-from executing the full month-end close process and preparing financial statements to reconciling balance sheet accounts and supporting annual audits. The ideal candidate will take ownership of day-to-day accounting functions with high accuracy, while collaborating cross-functionally to support lot purchases, loan documentation, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

    The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in GAAP and accrual-based accounting, with hands-on experience in general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations. You thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment, managing multiple priorities without sacrificing precision or compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms, paired with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, will set you up for success in this role.

    Responsibilities:
    Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactionsSummarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements periodicallyExecute the month-end financial close process by performing journal entries, consolidations, and assigned reconciliations in adherence to deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy and completenessPerform monthly bank reconciliationsEnsure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and proceduresMonitor and reconcile corporate balance sheet accounts, administrative costs, and intercompany balances monthly, resolve reconciliation issues, and ensure balances are explainable with appropriate back-up/documentationAssists in gathering supporting documentation required for lot purchases and loan requests.Support management during the annual budget and forecasting processesPartner with external auditors by preparing audit requests and schedules to support the annual auditWork on other ad-hoc accounting-related projects and assignments
    Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred CPA (active or inactive) preferredMinimum 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience required. Homebuilding/real estate industry experience preferred; those with strong accounting and finance backgrounds will be considered.Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting.Experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliations.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment.Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms preferred.Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word and ExcelGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in a team setting Read Less

    The Construction Manager role is responsible for managing the activities of new home construction projects, ensuring schedules, safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction are maintained throughout the building process.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
    Managerial oversight of homes, planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of high-quality built homes from development through final construction on a timely & economical basis per standards, while maintaining a low-cost variance.Manage the customer experience throughout the construction process through close of house.Collaborate with trade partners throughout the construction process to improve quality and efficiency.Build sustainable relationships of trust with the homeowner through open and interactive communication.Interface with Sales personnel to manage neighborhood and customer activities and referrals.Assist in resolving issues/conflicts related to daily construction activities (e.g., vendor contracts, work orders, job progress, design).Authorize payment for materials received and work completed.Ensure trade partner work is completed on time and within defined standards for quality.Inspect/validate workmanship and product quality to conform to Company standards.Maintain a professional, clean, and organized job site.
    Requirements

    Qualifications:
    Minimum of 3 years construction experience or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years New Homebuilding experience.Ability to manage construction processes in a high-production environment.Ability to manage trade performance.Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget.Strong verbal and written communications.Strong ability to read blueprints.Strong knowledge of municipal permitting and regulations.Strong knowledge of building codes.Basic computer skills.
    Education/ Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering; preferred.Valid Driver's License because driving is an essential function of this position. Read Less
