    Family Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care- Blue Ridge, GA

    Position Summary:

    Georgia Mountains Health (GMH) is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Community Health Center, mission driven organization, committed to providing compassionate and quality health care to families in North Georgia. We believe in more than just treating patients and seek a mission-oriented candidate who understands the nuances of an FQHC and practice of using UDS measures for quality health care improvement.

    GMH, Blue Ridge, GA currently has an opening for a full time, experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of two years clinical experience preferred and comfortable seeing all ages. The Family NP will be part of the primary care team, working closely with other physicians, behavioral health, clinical and support staff in a team-based approach. Establishes a practice of using UDS measures for quality health care improvement. Average number of patients is 18-20 per day. 1 week of phone on-call rotation every 5-6 weeks intervals. The Nurse Practitioner is supported by clinical staff to assist with workflow.

    Medical Biller

    Georgia Mountains Health (GMH) is a community health, primary care facility focused on delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare services. We have multiple primary care clinics across the North Georgia area and currently seeking a Medical Biller to join our revenue cycle team on-site at our administrative office in Blue Ridge, GA. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing, claims submission, and reimbursement for the clinic’s services.

    Position Summary:
    The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing and submitting insurance claims, following up on unpaid accounts, and working closely with providers, coders, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about billing procedures and payer guidelines in an outpatient setting.

    Full-time 40 hours / Monday-Friday 8a-5p / On-site in Blue Ridge, GA Administrative office

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reviews, prepares and submits accurate insurance claims to various insurance companies for outpatient services.Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, initiate appeals when appropriateVerify patient insurance coverage and benefits as neededCommunicate with patients regarding billing questions and outstanding balancesPerforms various collection actions including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claimsCollaborate with coding staff to ensure proper documentation and codingRegularly check email, mail, voice mail and other forms of communication.Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer policies, and regulatory standardsOther duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferredCertification in Medical Billing (e.g., CMRS, CPB) is a plusExperience with denial management and appealsAbility to interpret EOBs and resolve billing discrepancies2+ years of medical billing experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic or physician officeKnowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codesFamiliarity with Athena and billing software Strong understanding of insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial plans)Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills
