    Administrator Position Benefits: Flexible schedule Competitive salary The Company: Founded by two University of Pennsylvania graduates in 1998, Georgetown Learning Centers is an educational company committed to helping kids of all ages and abilities succeed in their academic endeavors. We believe that all students can flourish in school, especially when they discover that learning can be fun and rewarding. GLC operates premier tutoring services in McLean, Virginia, and is expanding our reach to provide online support to students in an ever increasing radius. The Position: We are looking for a student-loving, enthusiastic, and experienced administrator to work either remotely or in a hybrid position out of our McLean office. The position will assist in the center's quality of service, sales goals, adherence to company policies, student achievement, and overall success. This position is best suited for those who truly enjoy working in an educational environment and are very goal oriented. The best candidates will also be motivated by the desire to participate in the growth of a small company whose mission is to promote the academic success of its students. Responsibilities: Manage daily customer service with clients including answering phones and responding to e-mail requests. Provide families with constructive educational advice, particularly in the areas of standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, etc.) and academic tutoring. Develop relationships with clients, students and other GLC employees and set example of positive work attitude. Be familiar sharing and explaining GLC's services, academic values, and policies. Provide organizational support to our tutors. Maintain office organization and appearance (if able to be in person). We are looking for candidates that can make somewhere between a 10-20 hour per week commitment. Working from home is available for candidates not located in Northern Virginia. For candidates in the area, the ability to come in to the office in a hybrid model would increase our interest in your application. Qualifications: Excellent problem solving abilities and strong leadership talent Ability to manage sales goals and desire to build community relations Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to work in a small team oriented environment Previous experience working in an office setting or managing an office work flow is preferred Ability to take initiative and solve problems Desire and ability to build rapport with parents, students, and the community Compensation will vary between 20-30 dollars an hour based on relevant experience. Penn graduates in 1998, GLC operates private, neighborhood learning centers in the DC metropolitan area, as well as in Charlottesville, VA.
    GLC is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic and confident individuals to work as tutors and facilitators (ADs) at our learning center. Tutors form relationships with students and their families, identify students strengths and weaknesses, and develop programs that guide students on the pathway to academic success.

    Responsibilities:
    One-on-one academic tutoringSmall class instructionOrganizational and study skills developmentSAT/ACT preparationCollege admissions counselingServing as a role model and mentor to studentsHours are Sundays from 12 8 pm, Mondays through Wednesdays from 2 10 pm, and Thursdays from 1:30 9:30 pm.
    Additionally, full time tutors have the opportunity to assist in the operation and management of a small and growing business. At GLC, you can adopt responsibilities including but not limited to: marketing, web design, community and client outreach, educational administration, and curriculum development.

    Great part-time tutoring hours available on weekends and evenings at a fun and relaxed work environment!

    Do you love working with kids?Are you looking for part-time work while in graduate school?Do you have a strong background in math?Do you have prior teaching and/or tutoring experience, or are currently a teacher looking for more hours?Have you been searching for a well-paying part-time job on the weekends and evenings?
    If you answered yes to any of these questions, then we would love for you to join us as a part time tutor at Georgetown Learning Centers!

    The position will comprise teaching students in person if available, but primarily utilizing our excellent online teaching platform that we have adapted from the pandemic that we have now fully incorporated into our teaching regiment. Weekend availability, particularly Sunday is highly sought after, and availability in the late afternoon or evenings on weekdays would be helpful as well. The position compensates at $35-50 an hour based on experience and amount of academic subjects that can be covered with students. Comfort with Statistics, Physics, and/or Calculus are preferable as these subjects are in high demand. Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a requirement.
