What you will be doing: Operate and drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with all DOT regulations Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members. Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements. Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points. Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties. Other duties as required and assigned Supports GEODIS' programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability Requirements: Must be at least 21-year-old and have a valid state driver's license Class A candidates must have a minimum of Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements. Must have successfully completed a driver's road test and have been issued a certificate of driver's road test or possess a valid commercial driver's license. Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle. Must have a valid operator's license for the type of vehicle which they are assigned to drive. Meet the driver qualification requirements as required by FMCSA or state statue Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
