Registered Nurses (RN) – PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center)

About the Role
GenCare Kids PPEC is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our dedicated team. Our centers provide day healthcare services to medically complex children in a nurturing, supportive environment.
This position offers flexible scheduling within our operating hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities at one of several locations (not all at once). Occasional travel to another nearby center may be required based on patient census.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct, family-centered nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.Support children with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and mobility.Administer medications (oral, enteral, subcutaneous) and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.Perform and assist with procedures such as tube feedings, tracheostomy care, wound care, and oxygen therapy.Monitor patient conditions and document observations and interventions promptly.Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.Support developmental, rehabilitative, and social activities for children in care.Participate in the review and maintenance of medication administration records (MAR).Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for children and families.Required Qualifications
Valid RN or LPN license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.Current CPR and First Aid certification.At least 6 months of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably with medically fragile or complex patients.Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs safely and assist with physical mobility.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in documentation, time management, and teamwork.Must pass a Level II background check.Clinical Experience Required
