    SCOPE OF WORK:


    A foreman has the operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems and associated materials and equipment for small to mid-sized ground up projects, facility upgrades, or tenant finish projects where complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews is not required.


    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    1. Responsible for all GDC field trades on an Electrical construction project.

    2. Does a working estimate and take-off jointly with the Project Manager.

    3. Lays out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons, and is jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.

    4. Establishes work schedules and man-loading charts.

    5. Support and handle project man-loading.

    6. Interfaces with representatives of the Customer and/or General Contractor on day to day project scheduling and overall performance issues.

    7. Provides general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of electrical projects; equipment such as Control panels, VFDs, Installing both EMT and Rigid Conduit, pulling both low and medium voltage wire and terminating same, Replacing industrial lights, able to trouble shoot control systems, cable tray installation, and other similar industrial skills used in industrial electrical work.

    8. Monitors and supports work as performed, directs subordinate supervisors and crews, and schedules work according to the pace of the job and other trades.

    9. Responsible for productivity, efficiency, and completion of crew/projects.

    10. Handles or oversees the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety reports, etc.

    11. Is responsible for overall project safety performance. Assures employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which assigned. Assures compliance with all GDC safety processes and protocols. Investigates or assists in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.



    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


    Must possess all skills of lower rated positions including Journeyman, and Apprentice


    Licenses: Current Drivers License and must have own reliable transportation.


    Education: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.

    Employee must be capable of performing Electrical Installation and Trouble Shooting in an Industrial Environment.


    Looking for Apprentice and Journeyman Electricians. Job is over 1 year in length.


    1. Comprehend reading and drawing prints, specifications and schematics.

    2. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit/Raceway using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.

    3. Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes

    4. Utilize all power tools, saws, threaders, knockout punches, wire tuggers and hydraulic benders.

    5. Dig trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.

    6. Operate all equipment including trenchers, back hoe, and lift trucks in a safe manner.

    7. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.

    8. Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in GDC Safety Policy Handbook, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.

    9. Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

    10. Operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission.

    11. Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.

    12. Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts, both electric and gasoline powered.

    13. Work energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in GDC Safety Policy.

    14. Install wiring and make branch wire terminations in junction boxes and panel boards.

    15. Install wiring and make feeder wire terminations in junction boxes and switch boards.


    Expected hours: 40 50 per week
