Job Purpose:
Plans and prepares production schedules for business unit organization. Translates orders into a sequential work schedule. Confer with departments supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
Comply and communicate reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production problems
Job Duties:
Interface to internal organizations and working closely with internal personnel to develop alternative
suppliers and technologies.Initiate cost savings.
Evaluates and negotiates vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers.Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.Will be responsible for the procurement of assigned commodities, services and materials used in plant
operations and production.Will be responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, identifying and develop new suppliers that
support our goals of improved quality, excellent delivery and reduced cost. Responsible for reviewing MRP on a daily basis and issue TO, WO and PO on a timely manner.Responsible for confirming TO and PO from Vendors and revise contracts (PO & TO) accordingly. Responsible for following up with vendors for TO and PO issued for on time delivery.Review Reverse MRP to prevent overstockPurchasingInventory ProcurementCustomer SupportSupplier SupportSupplier Negotiations
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.In-depth knowledge and experience with purchasing, logistics, supply chain management, and
contracts.Proficiency in Windows-based PC software applicationsExcellent communication and organizational skills.2-4 years of experience in manufacturing industry preferredFluent in English languageFamiliar with MRP SystemsDetail Oriented
Strong contract negotiation skills
