Mechanical Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Mechanical Engineer with experience in build-to-print manufacturing environments. This role will support the development of Bills of Materials (BOMs), cost proposals, and manufacturing documentation for complex electromechanical assemblies, interface adapters, cable assemblies, and related products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical problem solving, proposal support, and cross functional collaboration within a fast paced environment. This position involves minimal design responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliersDevelop and cost BOMs for interface test assemblies, adapters, cable assemblies, and electromechanical productsInterpret technical drawing packages, including dimensional drawings, wiring diagrams, fabrication files, Gerber files, parts lists, and ASME Y14.100 documentationCreate production level BOMs to support purchasing, supplier RFQs, and material procurementSupport make versus buy decisions and supplier selection for machined and sheet metal componentsPrepare detailed cost proposals, including labor estimates and material costsCoordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to source cables, connectors, and related materialsEnsure accuracy, quality, and timely execution within established build-to-print processesCollaborate with internal teams to support successful project executionQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing, build-to-print, or proposal development environmentsExperience with BOM development, electromechanical assemblies, cables, and connectors requiredStrong ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentationU.S. Citizenship requiredEqual Opportunity Employer
