The Company wants a Mechanical Design Engineer who has some experience working with Electrical Controls (i.e., understands schematics for controls panels, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, sensors, etc. There is no new electrical design work). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deal with existing machine concepts and make modifications to meet customer space, capacity, environmental, and process material requirements. Perform all work within the framework, of company's design/drafting standards and procedures. Maintain high product quality and accuracy in all documentation. Use CAD technology in the most efficient way possible to produce complete design documentation suitable for subcontract manufacture. Knowledge of Solidworks 3D software and Autocad 2D software preferred. General Engineering to include sizing and selecting technical components, performing engineering calculations, and keeping good records. Provide Project Engineering services for assigned projects Involves customer interaction. Interface with vendors to provide technical purchase specifications for subcontracted control equipment.
