Responsibilities
Monitor, review and verify accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation.Ensure compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted account principles.Review and analyze reports for accuracy prior to distribution.Strong understanding and ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries and monthly reports.Clarify or research issues as necessary.Provide input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records and documented procedures.Assist in development of financial projections and forecasts.Manage accounting advisory engagements and provide accounting support to clients.Post financial transactions.Receive and record payments.Track fixed assets, inventory and prepare depreciation schedules.Prepare company payroll and understand federal and state compliance requirements.Month End Close.GAAP accounting conversions.Ability to understand financial reports and summarize insights with clients.Identify and build long-term relationships with clients and key members of their team.Job Qualifications

Tax Compliance & Review
Prepare, review and oversee preparation of complex federal and state tax returns, including:Corporations (C-Corp and S-Corp)PartnershipsTrust and EstatesHigh-net-worth individualsMulti-state entitiesEnsure compliance with IRS and state/local tax regulationsResearch and resolve advanced tax issuesManage tax provision calculations and ASC 740 mattersTax Planning & Advisory
Develop and implement strategic tax planning strategiesAdvise clients on entity structuring, mergers & acquisitions, and succession planningProvide guidance on federal and Texas-specific tax mattersIdentify tax-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategiesClient Relationship Management
Serve as primary point of contact for key clientsBuild and maintain long-term client relationshipsParticipate in business development activities, networking, and proposal preparationIdentify cross-selling opportunities within the firmLeadership & Team Development

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)Active CPA license in Texas or Enrolled AgentExperience
