Position Summary The Business Development Liaison will be responsible for establishing new referral sources, nurturing existing referral relationships, and consistently marketing the agency within the community. This individual will execute a sales and marketing strategy aimed at meeting or surpassing census targets, financial goals, and overall business growth objectives. Primary Responsibilities Cultivate and expand referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, senior living providers, case managers, discharge planners, and other healthcare referral sources. Identify, approach, and develop new referral sources within the designated area. Maintain and fortify existing referral relationships through regular field visits, follow-ups, and professional communication. Advocate for the agency's services in a professional, ethical, and mission-oriented manner. Implement sales and marketing plans to boost census and market share. Monitor referral activity, sales calls, contacts, follow-ups, and pipeline progress using sales software / CRM. Maintain effective communication with internal teams and leadership. Represent the agency at community events, networking opportunities, and referral source meetings. Stay informed about the local healthcare market, referral trends, rivals, and growth potentials. Ideal Candidate Profile Energetic, self-motivated, proactive sales professional. Demonstrated experience in external referral generation within home health, hospice, senior living, or related healthcare services. Deep understanding of the local market and existing healthcare referral network. Proficient in prospecting and initiating new referral connections. Proven sales performance with tangible metrics on referral numbers, admissions, census, or revenue generation. Strong work ethic, consistent work history, and a desire for long-term career growth. Professional communication skills and the ability to represent the organization effectively in the field. Comfortable working independently while staying connected with the team. Proficiency in using sales force / CRM software for communication and tracking. Qualifications Minimum of two years in sales, marketing, business development, liaison, or referral generation required. Prior experience in home health sales is highly desirable. Experience in hospice, senior living, hospital, post-acute, or related healthcare sales will be considered. Sales experience in healthcare services is a must. Strong preference for external referral generation experience. Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare professionals, facility administrators, community partners, and referral sources. Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building abilities. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
