    Responsibilities

    Operate designated floor equipment to include auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors to strip, scrub, and shampoo and wax floors, all surface cleaners, or other larger mechanical machines daily or as needed as a primary dutyUtilize automated floor cleaning equipment according to schedule for cleaning of large area of floor surfaceUses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.)Operates industrial floor care equipment as assignedPerforms maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface typesClean, sweep, vacuum, and polishe floors Use various tools, equipment, and cleaning materials to include, but not limited to hand power scrubbing and polishing equipment, small and large vacuum cleaners, large commercial type buffer, broom, dust brush, dust pan, wet and dry mop, bucket mop wringer, special cleaning solution, and chemical cleanersClean identified or assigned areas/spaces with required cleaners and disinfecting solutionsAssist in cleaning common areasRemove trash from assigned areas. Moves furniture, miscellaneous equipment, supplies and/or recyclable materials, empties large and small trash containers, and remove miscellaneous debrisAssist with resident wheelchair cleaning and disinfectingPromptly reports all maintenance problemsAdheres to all safety and infection control procedures to ensure sanitary conditionsKeep equipment, carts and work areas clean, reporting any problemsAbide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Ethics and the Corporate Compliance PlanPerform any other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    High School education or GEDAble to operate floor care equipment, such as buffers, burnishears, “wet vac” and auto scrubbersA minimum of one (1) year of experience in a long- term care setting preferredAbility to understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbility to read and write such as to be able to read labels on cleaning and detergent materials, disinfecting solutionsAbility to operate large powered vacuum cleaners, cleaning and buffing equipmentAbility to interact and/or work with staff members, family members, and visitors in a respectful and courteous mannerAbility to lift carry or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50lbsAbility to stand, walk or otherwise move about the facility on a continuous basis

    Responsibilities

    Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition Complete required documentation in a timely manner Assist in transporting residents as needed Provide companionship to residents Ensure the safety of our residents Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engagedMaintain a clean and healthy environment

    Qualifications

    Must hold a current certification and GNA license in Maryland Must possess a positive and professional attitude Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Previous experience working in an skilled nursing facility is a plus Ability to communicate effectively Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with residents Ability to listen attentively is essential Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure A willingness to navigate changes in assignments Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level

    Responsibilities

    Review available resident information and evaluates the impact of this information on the assessment and treatment processConduct and document a thorough functional assessment of the resident, utilizing standardized procedures. Assessment of home/vocational and equipment needs is includedDevelop and implements an individualized treatment plan based on resident needs and containing achievable functional goalsComplie with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines as defined by facility policy, practice regulations and state/federal regulationsComplete re-evaluations according to practice regulations including review of physical therapy assistants treatment interventions, if appropriateInstruct assistants and rehab techs in treatment procedures to be utilized and provides appropriate supervision while such staff are working with residentsComplete appropriate documentation in the resident’s medical record following each treatment sessionRevise treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment processDocument the course of treatment in a clear, concise discharge summary utilizing a prescribed formatOrient residents to program services and treatment procedures appropriate to their needs. Inform residents of any potential risk during any proceduresWork with nursing staff, resident and families to maximize resident’s use of functional abilitiesInstruct residents and family/other caregiver about exercise programs and therapeutic procedures to be continued by the resident following treatmentAssist in the referral process when a resident requires additional services following discharge. Maintain current knowledge of community resources

    Qualifications

    Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Physical TherapyCurrent license or eligibility for licensure in the state of MarylandMinimum of 1 year of Long Term Care Experience preferredCertification and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specializationDemonstrated competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in physical therapyAbility to assess resident needs and develop and implement a comprehensive plan of careKnowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
