JOB OVERVIEW The Engine Test Cell Production Supervisor oversees daily operations and personnel within the engine test facility. This role ensures that all test cell activities - including engine setup, test execution, and post-test inspection - are performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and company standards. The supervisor will coordinate workloads, monitor production targets, and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and performance within the test environment. Responsibilities: * Supervise, coordinate, and support technicians in the preparation, operation, and post-run inspection of aircraft engines. Assign tasks, establish work priorities, and ensure adherence to daily and weekly test schedules. * Monitor and approve time and attendance. Ensure all technicians are properly signing into tasks in accordance with company policy. * Plan, prioritize, and monitor test cell workload to meet customer delivery schedules and internal production goals. Ensure test engines are prepared, tested, and released while maintaining high safety and quality standards. * Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with the CFM specifications, work instructions, engineering documentation, OSHA, and FAA regulations.? Maintain a culture of safety, ensuring technicians follow all test cell safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazard controls. * Directly oversee the work performed by any individuals who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to perform any maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations. * Review test results for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to performance standards. Identify and escalate anomalies or deviations to engineering or quality teams for resolution. * Conduct on-the-job training, coach technicians in test procedures and best practices, and verify proficiency through OJT sign-offs. Support performance evaluations and identify skill gaps to promote continuous improvement. * Lead and participate in continuous improvement aimed at enhancing efficiency, reduce downtime, improve safety, test accuracy and optimize overall test cell workflow and performance. * Manage and issue work orders, documentation, and records through Quantum, ensuring accurate data entry, traceability, and timely closure of tasks and work orders. * Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly. Qualifications: * High school education or equivalent * Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. * FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. * Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. * Must be fluent in English (written and verbal). * Must demonstrate cross-functional leadership and team-building skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in the assembly and disassembly of CFM56-7B/5B engines. * Ability to navigate and interpret Engine Shop Manuals (ESM). * Proficient in the use of tools, gauges, and instruments necessary to perform assigned duties. * Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions. * Ability to lead and direct technicians while producing high-quality work within a fast-paced environment. * Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Job Demands: Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Perform disassembly and repair of all types of aircraft engine usable parts Assist with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment Perform scripted test procedures to isolate failure to sub-assembly and/or component level Successfully replace failed sub-assembly, part, or component to bring failed device to working order Perform scripted repair procedure to repair and functionally test part or product Assist Repair technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required Maintain constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures Interpret OEM manuals and routers instructions Qualifications: High School or equivalent and basic computer skills Airframe and/or Powerplant license Must possess exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance. 3 5 years experience in a lead role for an aircraft jet engine maintenance. Experienced with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data during the borescope process. Familiar with all regulatory requirements that govern the maintenance of aircraft jet engine. Must be able to communicate Inspection Priorities to inspection personnel in a clear and concise manner. Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S Pass pre-employment drug testing per FAA/DOT regulations. NOTE: This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Job Demands: Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance.
