    The Credentialing & Contracting Specialist supports the agency’s credentialing and payer contracting processes to ensure clinicians and programs are enrolled accurately and in a timely manner. This role focuses on Medicaid and commercial provider enrollment, facility credentialing, tracking revalidations, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position supports organizational growth, compliance, and timely billing.

    Responsibilities

    Complete payer enrollments and support onboarding of new licensed staffTrack and maintain licenses, certifications, and credentialing documentsCollaborate with Utilization Management to ensure staff and sites are properly credentialedMaintain credentialing systems (CAQH, NCTracks, commercial payers) and ensure data accuracyFollow up with payers on application status, resolve issues, and monitor progressCommunicate updates with leadership, billing, finance, and clinical teamsTrack revalidation deadlines and ensure complianceMaintain reliable attendance and adherence to schedule


    Requirements


    High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in credentialing or commercial payor contracting, preferably in behavioral health.

    Working knowledge of commercial insurance networks (e.g., BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Cigna) and associated credentialing processes.

    Experience with CAQH, NC Tracks, NPPES, and various payer portals preferred.

    In-depth understanding of Tailored Plan Medicaid, Medicare, and provider credentialing based on behavioral health service definitions.

    Strong organizational skills with ability to track multiple deadlines, follow up with payors, and maintain accurate licensed provider databases.

    Provide interventions that promote the consumer’s personal safety, self-worth, confidence, and growth, connection to the community, boundary setting and planning, self-advocacy, personal fulfillment and development of social supports, and effective communication skills. Specifically:

    Assist and support consumers with transition from crisis, inpatient or medical setting to appropriate outpatient treatment settings.Work with clinician, QP or discharge planners to develop and implement treatment plan.Provide intervention strategies to consumers and their supports in accordance with the treatment plan.Engage consumers in activities aimed to assist in a wide range of skill development, symptom management, wellness education and work readiness when appropriate.Initiate and maintain contact with consumers to facilitate transition between services.Provide or assist with transportation to initial appointments.Maintain and submit accurate and timely documentation requirements and assist with service authorizations as needed.Maintain confidentiality and comply with service definition.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Completes the required written documentation at the time of the service.· For each client assigned, provide an orientation that outlines a goal statement, explain and schedule services and clarify the following: confidentiality, client rights, consents for services, and financial requirements.· Provide Person Centered Planning/treatment planning by preparing the initial diagnosis; describing strengths, preferences and needs; and identifying treatment goals and strategies for each client assigned.     Requirements

    Recovery is a journey best walked with others!

     

    We are looking for an experienced QP to oversee our SA Halfway House for our Durham and Roxboro locations. The ideal candidate is a leader who is as comfortable with day-to-day administrative task and as they are with developing community resources and partnerships. This position requires a problem solver who can delegate tasks and manage staff all while bringing out the best in the people around them.

    Duties and responsibilities include:

    The House Manager will oversee the day to day operations and provide supervision for two Substance Abuse Halfway Houses.

    Staff supervision – including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and – when necessary – disciplinary action

    House administration – including screening clients for admission, completing documentation for authorization/reauthorization, reviewing notes (ensuring they are completed on time), developing person centered plans, coaching clients in the achievement of goals and – when necessary – disciplinary action.

    Client interaction – including scheduling or providing transportation, developing engaging activities and interventions, teaching and training life skills such as budgeting, housekeeping, time management, assistance with obtaining employment, discharge/transition planning.

    Work with interdisciplinary team – advocate on behalf of the client, discuss client needs and/or challenges with treatment team, be accountable to supervisor and team for transfer of important client information, work cohesively with all members of clients care team.

    Required education and experience

    Candidate must be a Qualifying Professional (QP) in the field of Substance Abuse. They must have at least 2 years Full Time paid experience working with clients who have substance abuse issues. They must posses a Bachelors Degree.

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    · Working knowledge of MS Office/Electronic Medical Records
