    We are looking for experienced CONSTRUCTION Heavy Equipment Operators to work on civil infrastructure projects. Candidates must be able to safely operate heavy construction equipment such as excavator, loader, gannon, skidsteer, backhoe, compactor, forklift, dozer, haul trucks, water trucks, and/or motor grader and perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections on equipment daily. Performs assigned tasks according to applicable policies and procedures and always assures safety standards.


    Requirements:

    • Acceptable driving record is required for operating on highway motor vehicles.

    • Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles and equipment.

    • Must be able to pass a drug test (including random testing)

    • Must be able to pass background checks and obtain security clearance/badging as necessary to work at high security job site locations throughout Arizona.

    • Trench safety, competent person, confined space, fall protection, and OSHA 10-hour training is highly desirable.


    Work Environment/Physical Demands:

    • Minimum 45 to 50 hours per week.

    • Some weekend and night work required depending on job requirements.

    • Working outdoors in inclement climate.

    • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and adhere to applicable safety policies.

    • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots, seat belt, gloves, face masks, fall protection, etc.

    • Acceptable level of correctable vision for Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral and Depth Perception.

    • Hearing must be sufficient for being aware of back-up alarms and for normal conversations around loud heavy machinery.

    • Use of both arms and legs required.

    • Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds or more, climb, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time under adverse field conditions.

    FPS Civil is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented construction Operations Coordinator to support our Operations Manager and construction field operations team. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in keeping our construction projects operating efficiently by coordinating daily operational activities, equipment logistics, utility locate requests, field staffing, and shop operations. Previous construction knowledge experience required.

    The constructionOperations Coordinator serves as a central point of communication between field personnel, project teams, equipment vendors, and the shop to ensure our crews have the resources they need to perform work safely and efficiently.

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment, excels at multitasking, and takes pride in staying organized while supporting multiple priorities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Field ConstructionOperations Support

    o Coordinate daily support activities for field operations.

    o Assist with scheduling field employees in coordination with Superintendents and Foremen.

    o Communicate staffing changes and operational needs across multiple projects.

    o Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day operational coordination.

    • Arizona 811 (Blue Stake) Management

    o Submit, renew, and manage Arizona 811 utility locate requests.

    o Track locate expiration dates and ensure tickets remain current throughout project duration.

    o Coordinate with project teams to ensure utility locates are maintained before work begins.

    • Rental Equipment Coordination

    o Procure rental equipment and tools as requested by project teams.

    o Coordinate delivery, pickup, exchanges, and off-rent requests with rental vendors.

    o Track rental equipment locations and usage across multiple projects.

    o Resolve equipment issues by working directly with rental companies.

    o Maintain rental documentation and equipment records.

    o Review, code, reconcile, and process rental invoices for accounting.

    • Equipment & Fleet Administration

    o Assist with tracking company-owned equipment and utilization.

    o Coordinate paperwork related to new equipment acquisitions.

    o Maintain equipment records and supporting documentation.

    o Work with field mechanics to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed.

    o Help coordinate equipment servicing, inspections, fueling, lubrication, and repairs.

    o Assist in maintaining accurate fleet maintenance records.

    • Shop Operations Support

    o Serve as a liaison between field operations and the company shop.

    o Coordinate equipment movement between projects and the shop.

    o Assist with scheduling repairs and maintenance activities.

    o Help ensure equipment availability aligns with project needs.

    • Administrative Responsibilities

    o Enter operational data into the company's accounting and equipment management systems.

    o Maintain organized electronic records and supporting documentation.

    o Prepare reports and assist with operational tracking as requested.

    o Communicate professionally with vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of CONSTRUCTION administrative or operations coordination experience, preferably in heavy civil construction or a related industry.

    • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Experience coordinating equipment, logistics, scheduling, or field operations is highly preferred.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    • Experience with construction accounting or ERP software (Vista/Viewpoint experience is a plus).

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Heavy civil construction experience.

    Hydro-Vac Construction Operations Manager

     

    We are seeking an experienced Construction Hydrovac Operations Manager to oversee, direct, and manage FPS Civil’s hydro-vac division. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant hydro-vac excavation operations while leading crews, maintaining equipment, coordinating schedules, and supporting project execution across Arizona.

    MUST HAVE previous construction Hydro Vac Truck experience and experience in how Hydro Vac Excavation/Vaccuming works.

     

    The Construction Hydrovac Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in maintaining operational excellence, protecting FPS Civil’s safety culture, and supporting our underground utility and heavy civil projects.

     

     

    Essential Job Functions:

     

    Oversee daily Construction Hydrovac operations including crew scheduling, dispatch coordination, and equipment utilization.

    Supervises and supports Hydro-Vac CDL Operators and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

    Ensures all excavation activities comply with OSHA regulations, trench safety standards, 811 utility locate requirements, and FPS Civil safety policies.

    Works in and around active construction sites, open trenches, and heavy equipment environments while maintaining oversight of safe operations.

    Coordinates hydro-vac activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, municipal representatives, and clients to support project timelines and avoid conflicts.

    Monitors equipment condition and ensure preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs are completed in a timely manner.

    Minimizes equipment downtime through proactive planning and coordination with fleet and maintenance personnel.

    Reviews and monitors work tickets, driver logs, and operational documentation for accuracy and compliance.

    Conducts regular safety meetings, jobsite audits, and operator training sessions.

    Investigates incidents, identifies root causes, and implements corrective action plans as necessary.

    Tracks operational performance include utilization rates, productivity, labor efficiency, and operational costs.

    Assists in budgeting, forecasting equipment needs, and evaluating capital expenditures for hydro-vac assets.

    Maintains strong communication channels between field crews, management, and clients.

    Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or Executive Management.

     

    Requirements:

     

    Minimum 5 years of experience in CONSTRUCTION hydro-vac excavation, underground utility work, or related heavy civil construction.

    Minimum 2 years of construction supervisory or management experience

    Strong working knowledge of hydro-vac equipment operations, excavation safety procedures, and DOT compliance requirements.

    Proven leadership experience.

    Valid Class A CDL license (with tanker endorsement) and acceptable driving record.

    Must be able to pass a drug test (including random testing).

    Must be able to pass background checks and obtain security clearance/badging as necessary to work at high-security job site locations throughout Arizona.

    Trench safety, competent person, and confined space training required.

    At a minimum OSHA 10-hour, 30-hour training preferred.

Candidate must have extensive experience and knowledge of working in deep excavations that require extensive shoring solutions to complete assigned projects. This position will require strong leadership, planning/scheduling, and communication skills. We are seeking a self-motivated Civil Superintendent with strong leadership skills to effectively run construction projects & field crews that aspires to be one of our future leaders and will contribute to the success and growth of FPS Civil!


    Duties, Essential Functions, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Proficiency with reading construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
    • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and production of heavy civil construction projects.
    • Manages daily activities including: jobsite(s) management & overview, planning & sequencing, scheduling, job cost monitoring & fine tuning when required, pre-task planning, daily entry of quantities, crew, and equipment hours as well as material coordination, subcontractor management, and management of field employees, equipment, and other resources on assigned projects.

    • Acts as a liaison between owner representatives and field employees on all schedules, changes in scope of work, and conflict resolution.
    • Takes responsibility for overall project supervision.
    • Prioritizes projects and tasks to achieve department and company objectives.
    • Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA and/or MSHA safety standards.
    • Assists in the blue staking process; ensures blue staking is maintained through the life of the project.
    • Documents any delays and/or changes to scope of work.
    • Acts as a trouble shooter on projects.

    • Assures that all required permitting is in place prior to construction.

    Job Requirements:
    • Proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of heavy civil construction field experience as a Superintendent.
    • GED or High School required as a minimum.
    • OSHA 30-hour training preferred.
    • Must possess a valid Arizona driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
    • Ability to pass a background check to work in sensitive job site locations.
    Work Environment/Physical Demands:
