Transportation Supervisor 📍 Nashville, Tennessee Full-Time | On-Site Are you a transportation professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? We’re looking for a Transportation Supervisor to lead daily freight operations, strengthen carrier relationships, and support strategic logistics initiatives that keep our network running smoothly and efficiently. What You’ll Do Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external logistics partners, including carriers, warehouse operations, sales, and sourcing. Prioritize and coordinate transportation needs across all customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery. Support carrier negotiations to improve service, optimize rates, and enhance overall performance. Track and manage transportation budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Oversee third-party logistics providers and ensure successful execution of LTL shipments. Monitor critical KPIs such as on-time performance, cost trends, and carrier scorecards to drive continuous improvement. Assist with network changes, including facility start-ups, production adjustments, and customer transitions. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and relevant international shipping standards (IATA, IMDG). Use TMS platforms and reporting tools to improve visibility, streamline operations, and inform decision-making. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred. 4+ years of experience in transportation, freight execution, or logistics operations. Strong proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP tools. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action. Project management experience and cross-functional collaboration skills preferred. Working Environment This is an on-site role with time split between office and warehouse settings. Occasional travel may be required.
