  Your Role: General Construction Carpenter

  As a General Construction Carpenter at Fountain Services, you will work as part of our growing general construction division, supporting facility expansion projects, community-based construction, and the successful execution of our electrical installation projects. This role requires broad construction knowledge, with a strong emphasis on framing and structural carpentry, and the ability to work hands-on in a dynamic environment.

  Key Responsibilities

  Perform general construction duties with a focus on carpentryExecute wood and/or metal framing for walls, floors, and structural builds Support facility construction and community-based projectsAssist with electrical installations through related structural workContribute to a variety of construction tasks, including:HVAC installation assistanceConcrete and light pavingPlumbing and mechanical workLight equipment operationMaintain a safe and organized work environmentCollaborate with internal construction and electrical teamsFollow project timelines and contribute to high-quality project delivery

  
  

  Minimum Requirements

  4+ years of experience in commercial and/or residential construction or contractingSignificant expertise in residential carpentry and general construction techniquesHigh school diploma or GEDMust pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust live within approximately 30 minutes of our Spindale, NC headquartersValid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  
  

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience in supporting or executing HVAC, plumbing, concrete, and/or mechanical installationsSignificant expertise in residential carpentry, including strong framing experience (wood and/or metal stud framing)Light equipment operation experienceAbility to work independently and within a teamBackground in both residential and commercial construction environments

  
  

  Physical Requirements

  Must be able to lift 50+ poundsCapable of working from ladders and scaffoldingAble to perform tasks that involve reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, bending, and stretchingComfortable working overhead and in varied climate conditionsMust have good balance, coordination, depth perception, and physical staminaAbove all, must be able to safely perform the physical duties of the role
