Shifts are 5:30am-1:30pm and 11:30AM-7:30PM.
Position Summary
This Cook prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with established policies and procedures and assuring patient safety. Assists in all preparation of patient, family, and employee meals, helps deliver and take orders as needed. May be directed by the Director of Culinary.
Essential Job Functions
Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards. Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality
Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods through food preparation and service to ensure that established temperature goals are met prior to steam table transfer and maintained throughout meal service
In the absence of the Director of Culinary, checks and inspects food products and supplies as delivered. Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products
Notify Director of Culinary of food, supplies or equipment needs, Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to Director of Culinary
Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits
Perform other department duties assigned by Director of Culinary
Qualifications
Minimum one (2) year food service experience in a health care dietary setting is desired. Minimum of (2) years culinary/cooking background.
Minimum of two (2) years working in food and beverage operation preferred
Minimum of one (1) years working in long-term care preferred
Have general knowledge of quantity food preparation and portioned serving
Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe directions, diet orders and work assignments. Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency situation. Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, patients, and family members
Education Requirement
Ability to read, write and speak English
High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred. Preference is given to persons with education in quantity cooking and therapeutic diets

Hours: 7am-3:30pm M-F (no weekends unless inclement weather occurs)

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding, to maintain attractive grounds.
Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds through proper care, pruning, and seasonal planting.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
Clean and maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, parking lots, and recreational spaces, ensuring safety and tidiness.
Assist with irrigation system tasks, including installation, repairs, and monitoring watering schedules.
Identify and address issues such as pests, plant diseases, or damaged areas in need of repair or replanting.
Dispose of debris, waste, and recyclables generated during groundskeeping activities.

The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties:
Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery and other duties as assigned. Depending on the site/location, Facility Technician may have multiple levels or classifications to help differentiate seniority amongst associates within the Facility Management Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE
Specific responsibilities and knowledge may include, but not limited to:
• Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings
• Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers (as allowable per local and state requirements)
• Inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly
• Assemble and set up machinery or equipment
• Plan repair work using blueprints or diagrams
• Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties
• Order supplies from catalogs and storerooms
• Prepare estimates; repairs and costs
• Keep detailed records of their work
• Other duties as assigned
A Maintenance Technician is hired for maintenance and repair tasks that are not complex enough to need the specialized training of a licensed tradesperson.
Maintenance Technicians may fix or paint roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, walls, and other parts of buildings. These workers are also responsible for recognizing when a job is above their skill level and requires the expertise of others.
Maintenance Technicians will get supplies and parts from distributors or storerooms to fix problems.
Must have the ability to use hand and power tools to ensure safe operation and proper operation during the performance of daily assignments.
Qualifications
This position is required to maintain the following competencies during employment:
• At a minimum, applicant must be able to obtain OSHA 10 (Construction Industry)
or OSHA 10 (General Industry) safety certification within the first six (6) months of
employment (this training will be provided)
• No certifications/licenses are required
• Five (5) years of maintenance experience desired, but not required
• At a minimum, high school diploma and/or equivalent
