    Position Summary:  
    The QC Tech continuously monitors products and materials for compliance to ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOTs standards. 

    Essential Job Functions/Duties: 

    Successfully plan and execute product and material testing at proper intervals Ensure all products meet or exceed ASTM and DOT specsPerform daily tests to ensure quality in product (cylinder breaks, pre-pour / post-pour, wire check, etc.)Solve basic technical and production problemsIdentify and resolve quality control issues Conduct and document Pre and Post Pour Inspections of product Test and document fresh and hardened concrete in accordance with industry standard Communicate and work with plant personnel to resolve quality issues Maintain and document calibration and maintenance of QC testing equipment Inspect and stamp product according to DOT standards prior to shipment Maintain all plant and personal certifications thru ACPA, NPCA, and multiple DOT’s Interact with government and industry inspectors as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    Essential Job Functions/Duties: 

    Oversee and provide direction for plant employees 

    Interpret drawings and complete job tickets and other paperwork 

    Use the crane to transfer materials to meet production objectives  

    Perform daily inspections of the crane and rigging to ensure safety 

    Troubleshoot problems with equipment. Make minor repairs to the crane or other machinery 

    Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on the crane, including lubrication and cleaning 

    Ensure safety of employees and work environment 

    Ensure cleanliness of work areas 

    Assists in all aspects of production where needed  

    Oversee quality of production

    Required Qualifications:

    Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: 

    Exposed to high levels of concrete dust. 

    Work outdoors but may on occasion work indoors. Temperatures may vary due to weather. 

    Regularly wear protective attire, such as hard hats and steel-toe boots. 

    Exposed to sound and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable. 

    Exposed to whole body vibration while operating cranes. 

    Work in extremely bright or very dim lighting conditions. 

    Work inside enclosed equipment.
