    Dealer Representative / Area Manager – North Houston & Waco, TX

FocusOne is seeking a motivated Dealer Representative / Area Manager to manage and expand our dealer network throughout North Houston and Waco, Texas. In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the primary liaison between FocusOne and our automotive dealership partners, helping drive indirect auto loan production while providing exceptional service, training, and ongoing support.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Dealer Representative / Area Manager is responsible for promoting the use of company products and services. As a Dealer Representative, it is important to identify and remove obstacles to the continued growth of the company, identify and report competitive business models, support corrective actions initiated against dealerships, and maintain professional relationships with key dealership personnel.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PERCENT OF TIME SPENT:  
    The Dealer Representative is responsible for training and supporting company policies with essential dealership personnel. These duties include, but are not limited to:

    Loan Programs and New Products and Services Funding Procedures Rate Sheet Stipulations & Program GuidelinesThe Dealer Representative is responsible for compiling, processing, and recording report data used to measure the progress of the dealership with respect to the performance goals set by the COO.Look to Book Funding dataLien holder record dataCompetitive rate sheet gatheringWeekly call log reporting
    End-of-month activity reportingThe Dealer Representative will be the liaison between the dealership and the Lending department for the purpose of maximizing loan growth.Suggesting specials for a particular market with respect to company’s Pricing ModelOrganizing and attending special meetings or gatherings with customers.Study and create action plans to improve businessAddress fraud issues with dealershipsReport potential lending practice violations to EVPThe Dealer Representative is responsible for documenting efforts in the company CRM tool.Enter notes from each dealer visit into the appropriate contact.Update all dealer contract information during visits, including phone, email, etc.Set goals and reminders within CRM for tracking purposes.Review monthly CRM report to gauge effectiveness of visits, plan future visits, etc.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
     

    A thorough understanding of automobile dealers, credit unions and how the two relate.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving several variables in applied applicationsMust have attention to detail and juggle multiple tasks at onceMust be computer literate and proficient with the use of the internet, email, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word.Must have strong written and communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service.Must be willing to work in a retail-type environment with hours outside of normal business hours.


    EXPERIENCE: 

    A college degree and/or equivalent years of specific experience in this field is preferredExperience in a similar position working within an indirect lending program is a plus.

    COMPENSATION: Base plus commission

    Job Description:

    The Mortgage Loan Officer responds to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their contacts and from FocusOne Mortgage business channels. The Loan Officer interviews prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information. The Loan Office maintains a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The MLO consistently upholds professional ethics, complies with all Federal and State compliance policies, and adheres to HMDA requirements.

    The Mortgage Loan Officer

    · Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective, along with FocusOne Mortgage Solutions business partners.

    · Prospects of new mortgage lending opportunities.

    · Meets with customers as necessary during various stages of the loan process.

    · Utilizes training materials, reference tools, and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to both external customers and internal business partners.

    · Provides complete loan applications to be put into processing.

    · Ensures exceptional customer experience by overseeing the loan process from origination to close and providing ongoing communication to customers and business partners.

    · Oversees and ensures the successful completion of all assigned Mortgage Loan Officer Training activities.

    Qualifications

This full-time position plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the technology platforms that drive our mortgage operations, including Encompass and related vendor systems. The ideal candidate combines strong mortgage industry knowledge with hands-on systems administration expertise and a passion for improving processes, integrations, and user experience.

    What We’re Looking For2+ years of experience with Encompass360 administration and/or IT support.Experience administering or supporting additional mortgage technology platforms, such as Optimal Blue, POS systems, or similar LOS-adjacent vendor tools, strongly preferred.Strong understanding of the mortgage lifecycle (origination, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and secondary).Experience supporting system implementations, vendor integrations, or technology project management is a plus.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.Encompass360 certification preferred.
    Compensation & LocationSalary: Approximately $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Location: Houston, Texas. This position is on-site and is not eligible for remote work.
