Due to business growth, they seek an experienced Estimator that will report directly to their Ownership group. Generating close to $60M in yearly revenue, they have a diverse portfolio including commercial, healthcare and retail projects. Responsibilities: Analyze Project Documents: Carefully review blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to understand project scope and requirements. Perform Quantity Takeoffs: Calculate and list the exact quantities of materials and resources needed for a project. Estimate Costs: Determine the costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses to develop detailed budgets and proposals. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate bids and provide cost information. Manage Bids: Oversee the bidding process for subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. Use Estimating Software: Utilize specialized software, such as BlueBeam or Procore, to create takeoffs, manage data, and generate estimates. Stay Updated: Keep current with new construction methods, material costs, safety codes, and industry trends to ensure accuracy. Develop Reports: Produce written proposals, cost estimates, and budget updates for stakeholders.
