    About the Role:

    Are you passionate about providing exceptional care in a fast-paced clinical setting? Florida Orthopaedic Institute is looking for dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistants to support our providers and enhance the patient experience. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in delivering high-volume orthopedic care while ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for.

    Compensation

    $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
    Compensation is based on experience, certification level, and relevant orthopedic or high-volume clinical background.

    What You'll Do
    Support your assigned provider(s) by preparing exam rooms, escorting patients, and assisting with procedures including injections and dressing changes.Educate patients on post-visit instructions, ensure prescriptions are accurate, and verify information in our electronic systems.Review and verify patient vitals and medical histories for accuracy, ensuring all intake information received through tablets is complete and reliable.Ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical workspace at all times.Collaborate closely with your team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient flow in a busy clinical environment

    Job Summary

    Under the direct supervision of the Revenue Cycle Ancillary Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring the timely collection of accounts receivable, monitoring account activity, and providing appropriate follow-up to maximize reimbursement for ancillary billing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical claims billing, denial management, and insurance follow-up, while collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve revenue cycle performance.

    Key Responsibilities
    Perform collection activities, including status calls, appeals, and account reviews to ensure timely reimbursement.Research and resolve claims denials using appropriate internal and external resources.Monitor denied claims to ensure corrections or appeals are completed accurately and timely.Review pre-bill claim holds and internal edits to ensure claims are submitted cleanly and timely.Ensure appropriate and complete information is submitted to insurance companies to expedite payment.Take proactive follow-up actions to secure payment on the first follow-up call or appeal when possible.Follow up on assigned cases and work queues within the organization.Compose and submit appeals to insurance carriers for denied claims.Handle incoming requests for information from insurance companies within 24 hours.Assist Financial Counselors with patient inquiries related to claims.Correct accounts billed to incorrect insurance carriers.Ensure required authorizations are attached to claims prior to submission.Meet quantity and quality performance expectations as established by management.Communicate trends, issues, and findings to the lead, supervisor, and team.Collaborate with other teams within the business office to resolve billing and reimbursement issues.Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding process improvements and challenges.Ensure compliance with all company plans, policies, and procedures set forth by Orthopaedic Solutions Management.Perform all other duties as assigned.
    Education and Experience
    High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of 2-4 years of medical billing, collections, or denial management experience preferred.Experience with ancillary billing strongly preferred.

    The Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for overseeing revenue cycle management including coding, billing, collections, and denial management. This position must have a thorough understanding of the entire revenue cycle process and provide leadership as well as partner with other leaders within the organization. This position will drive performance improvement and revenue enhancement opportunities, and as a subject matter expert they will assist in providing strategy, decision support, organization planning, and operational leadership to optimize productivity, quality and overall company revenue.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee and manage entire revenue cycle including billing, coding, collections, and denial

    • management.

    • Manage, develop, and mentor all revenue department staff, including billers and coders and

    • RCM Supervisors.

    • Provide up to date education for clinical, billing, and coding staff on coding trends.

    • Develops, evaluates, implements, and revises policies and procedures related to billing,

    • coding, reimbursement activities and improvement strategies.

    • Reconcile all receivables and revenue reports and work closely with the finance department in

    • the development of monthly financial reports.

    • Conduct monthly analysis of Medicare/Medicaid/Third Party Payers to identify trends.

    • Establishes annual financial goals and uses benchmarking to high performing systems to set

    • annual targets in collaboration with the CFO.

    • Responsible for the generation and management of revenue, productivity and metric reports

    • Prepares and delivers reports regarding goals and objectives.

    • Review and resolve issues related to claim generation and rejected/denied billings.

    • Liaison with corporate team that oversees the processing of credentialing and provider enrollment applications, initial, and re-enrollment status with all Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial Payors.

    • Serve as a liaison within the company among departments and interact with outside vendors for the benefit of the organization.

    • Commit to highest level of business and patient confidentiality possible adhering to all HIPAA and security guidelines when accessing and sharing patient information. •

    • Technical expert for Athena billing processes.

    • Keeps abreast of all reimbursement billing procedures of third party and private insurance payers and government regulations.

    • Monitors accounts sent for collection and reimbursements from insurance companies and other third-party payers.

    • Reviews, monitors, and evaluates third party reimbursement and researches variances.

    • Participates in the development of coding and billing strategies, evaluating process relative to revenue cycle, and making recommendations while ensuring compliance with any relevant rules or regulations (including HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, and specific 3rd Party Payors)

    • Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes.

    • Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes same for decisions regarding FTE's staffing and workflow.

    • Creates business plan(s), justifying variances and analyzing cost benefit of programs. •

    • Contribute to the success of TOC by providing leadership, direction and coordination of operations, finances and human resources for area of responsibility.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred

    • 10 or more years of direct relevant MSO experience within healthcare operations or consulting,

    • Working knowledge of industry best practices; insurance verification, billing, charge capture, contractual adjustments, first and third-party reimbursement, lien filing processes, and cash management.

    • Proven leadership, management, organizational skills, and experience with leading EHR and revenue cycle systems, including but not limited to Epic, Meditech and Cerner.

    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations

    PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Proven experience leading revenue cycle, CDI, coding, and HIM functions, including both hospital and professional fee domains, within a large, integrated health system.

    • Deep knowledge of professional fee coding and billing, including physician documentation, CPT/HCPCS coding, and payer reimbursement models.

    • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and process transformation leveraging Lean or similar methodologies.

    • Expertise in technology-enabled performance improvement, including automation, AI-assisted coding, and EHR optimization.

    • Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage providers, executives, and operational stakeholders.

    Position Summary

The Physician Relations Specialist plays a vital role in strengthening and growing our referral network by building trusted relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, and healthcare organizations across the region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys connecting with providers, and wants to make direct impact through channel marketing and direct sales to foster organizational growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    Channel Marketing (30%)
    Develop and execute channel marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, partner engagement, and referral pipeline growth. Provide feedback from the field to marketing and product teams to inform messaging, marketing opportunities and roadmap priorities. Collaborate with marketing to develop partner toolkits, collateral, and content. • Analyze channel performance metrics and adjust tactics for maximum impact. Field Sales/Referral Network Growth (70%) Identify and establish new physician partnerships, expand network and drive patient referral growth. Nurture existing referral sources and provide strategic insights to internal teams to enhance relationships and partnership efforts Track and analyze referral sources performance and productivity, accountable for driving referral growth. Facilitate networking events and partner meetings to build relationships and generate leads. Plan and execute field visits based on referral trends, market insights, and practice potential. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with physicians, medical practices, and healthcare organizations to drive patient referrals and promote our clients' services Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians and medical practices to facilitate communication and provide information about our services Increase patient referrals by educating physicians about our services, specialties, and value proposition Identify opportunities for new business development and coordinate with internal teams to ensure the smooth referral process Gather and relay physician feedback to marketing and operations teams to improve service experience.
    Qualifications:
    5-8 years of experience in physician relations, healthcare outreach, or referral development. Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Familiarity with the orthopedic, surgical, or specialty care environment is preferred; however, candidates with experience in similarly complex industries such as Technology, SaaS, or MedTech will also be considered. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and practice managers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for community engagement, sales processes, pipeline management, and field execution. Ability to work independently, plan territory visits, and prioritize high-impact opportunities as well as translate data insights into actionable strategies. Ability to travel up to 40% for field and partner engagement.
