Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFleet Strategy Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on commercial fleet vehicles including box trucks and medium-duty trucks. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and experienced working in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment.
Your work will ensure our vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant with DOT standards while supporting daily fleet operations.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial fleet vehiclesPerform preventive maintenance on box trucks, trucks, and other fleet vehiclesRepair and replace engines, brakes, suspension, and drivetrain componentsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systemsPerform DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulationsUse diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectivelyMaintain accurate service and repair documentationKeep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standardsCommunicate repair needs and updates with the shop team and supervisorsWhat We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience as a fleet or diesel mechanicExperience working with box trucks, medium-duty trucks, or commercial vehiclesStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to diagnose and repair issues efficientlyExperience working in a shop or fleet maintenance environmentKnowledge of DOT regulations and safety standardsCDL Class A – RequiredASE certification is a plusReliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
