Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe’re seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support a growing manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for someone who is approachable, detail-driven, and comfortable balancing recruiting, payroll, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations.

Responsibilities:Managing full-cycle recruiting for temporary and direct hires, including interviews, background checks, onboarding, and orientationProcessing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records within HRIS systems (Paylocity experience preferred)Administering benefits including enrollments, 401(k), FMLA tracking, and open enrollment coordinationServing as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers on policies, attendance, performance concerns, and corrective actionEnsuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal quality standards (ISO 14001/TS 16949 training tracking)Supporting reporting, workforce metrics, unemployment claims, workers’ compensation, and training documentation
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required3+ years of work-related experience requiredExperience in automotive manufacturing environment preferredExperience with Paylocity preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPointComfortable working in a manufacturing plant/production floor environment Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentialityMust be able to pass drug test and background checksBilingual is a plus Schedule:Monday – Friday 12 PM –8:45 PM Salary and Benefits: $50,000 - $70,000/Annually Two weeks off paid during the year in addition to holidays!Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits/401(k)Location: South San Antonio, TX 78264 About Us:FirstOption Workforce Solutions exists to help people build better lives and we sincerely appreciate your interest in joining our team.
