    Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

    Job Description Summary

    Under limited supervision, the Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching all buses to ensure on-time performance of service within an assigned geographical area. This role serves as a key communication link between drivers, operations, and contracted customers.

    Major Responsibilities

    Oversee all routing and scheduling of buses; dispatch buses and provide drivers with timely route information.

    Counsel and coach drivers and monitors regarding frontline disciplinary and service issues.

    Receive all scheduling and driver complaints; report concerns to the Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager or resolve issues directly with customers as appropriate.

    Manage heavy phone and radio communications.

    Serve as the primary communication liaison with major contracted customers.

    May handle charter reservations, billing processes, and driver payroll.

    Assist with monitoring licensing requirements and participate in driver hiring as needed.

    Provide solutions to pick-up/drop-off issues and resolve service challenges promptly.

    Perform back-up driver duties or miscellaneous clerical support while buses are in route.

    Complete assigned special projects.

    Assist drivers with day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with operating contracts, state and local regulations, and company policies and procedures.

    Minimum Education / Certifications Required

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Appropriate vehicle license preferred.

    Minimum Experience / Skills Required

    3-5 years of relevant experience.

    Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.

    Previous terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience preferred.

    Computer literacy required.

    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

    Must be able to move throughout the office and between floors.

    Ability to use standard office equipment and access filing systems/cabinets.

    Must be able to communicate effectively in person and by phone.

    Work environment includes office and school bus yard settings.

    Occasional on-the-road responsibilities may occur.

    The Senior Safety Analyst is crucial for managing safety data critical to the department's operations. This leader is tasked with transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for management and leading the development of advanced data analysis methodologies and tools to enhance data quality and improve safety practices. This role supports department's strategic objectives through innovative, data-driven solutions, ensuring analytics development and comprehensive risk assessments contribute significantly to achieving organizational goals.

    Major Responsibilities

    Oversee and administer the Risk Management Information System (RMIS),ensuring efficient data processing and the timely generation of key deliverables.Develop internal tools for sophisticated management-level reporting on safety loss data, enabling informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.Maintain robust communication with organizational stakeholders, including the VP of Safety, Region Safety Directors, Area Safety Managers, Operations teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.Act as a liaison with managing data requirements and ensuring the integrity of organizational data.Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee accurate accident/incident reporting within the RMIS, thereby enhancing data accuracy and reliability.Drive the development of advanced data analytics models to identify trends and insights, driving continuous improvement in claims management and safety practices.Manages all safety standard weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports for all levels of management including senior management. This also includes ad-hoc reporting when required.Conduct in-depth safety analyses using advanced data analytics methodologies and tools to support assessment and mitigation initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making for optimal results.Produce detailed reports on safety performance for senior management, providing valuable insights and recommendations for process enhancements.Leverage data insights for business development in the transportation sector and strategic initiativesAligned with advancements in AI and machine learning to enhance risk assessment.Other Responsibilities as required or requested by senior management.



    Minimum Education or Certifications Required

    Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.



    Minimum Experience or Skills Required

    At least 4 years of experience in data analysis.Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.Proficiency in Programing Languages and SQL, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with CRM and business intelligence tools, such as Salesforce, with an openness to adopting and mastering emerging technologies and platforms.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective remote collaboration across departments.Proven leadership capabilities in managing and developing high-performing remote teams.
