We are a leading Managed IT Services provider seeking a User Support & Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in San Francisco. This role involves hands-on technical support and system administration for a diverse client base including over 700 users. The ideal candidate is a technically savvy professional with extensive experience in user support, system maintenance, and network security, capable of working both independently and as part of a small, dedicated team. Daily client interaction and troubleshooting across a variety of platforms and devices are key components of this position.
Responsibilities
Provide direct daily support to users including Admin staff and C-level executivesDiagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and computer equipmentManage and configure Windows servers (2016 and newer), MacBooks, and mixed production environmentsAdminister mobile device management solutions (Workspace One, MAS360) and support mobile phonesMonitor and update computer networks, establish new networks, and ensure network securityManage backup solutions including Veritas Backup Exec and support hosted services such as Office 365 and GmailMaintain documentation and inventory for software and equipment issued to usersUse Jira Service Management for ticket resolution and asset managementProvide customer service and technical coaching to team members

This is a new position, to be located at our corporate offices in San Francisco, you work alone sometimes or in small teams and are responsible for establishing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and computer equipment. Accomplishing these tasks requires you to remain in contact with colleagues either through telephone, e-mail or face-to-face interaction. Keeping an inventory of various software and equipment as well as issuing these items to other workers also falls under the jurisdiction of desktop technicians.On the System Administration side you will master not only how to set up computer networks for our clients, but are also responsible for monitoring and updating networks, establishing new networks, providing network security, and educating non- network employees on proper computer usage and maintenance.
